Red Dead Redemption 2

I think the best upgrades are the ones for supplies. the rest I could give or take.

 

So I've bought the upgrades for supplies but never actually restock my supplies there haha. I do like paying to restock supplies though, especially food. Don't have to bring back a deer every day or two anymore.

 

I usually restock my ammo there. sometimes you run out and its just easier to get it there if you already have it.

 

Finished legendary fish tonight and all 30 dinosaur bones. Still working on cigarette cards need 10 or so to complete all packs. Took a week off all drugged up after the ankle surgery. Down to 1-2 oxy's a day now so it's tolerable.

 

I was wondering around hunting for cats on the west end near the trader when I came upon a black bear 3 star. As I went to skin it a Grizzly attacked. Got him and skinned them both. A while later I went by them again and the corpses were rotted. Later on I returned again and there were two new bears laying there??? I couldn't skin them so I rode away. I went back a few minutes later and they were rotten again.

I have been using poison arrows on just about everything. It's funny on strangers.

 

I noticed those Grizzlies last time I was up there. Was closing in on the 3 star and got attacked by the other. When back later and they both respawns in the same spots.


Finally finished the 660 foot kill and 8 small game arrow kills in a row challenges. Kinda cheated on the 8 in a row one. Shot a rancher killed 4 chickens then 4 birds of prey that came to feed on the carcass

 

My hardest thing is taming a wild horse. I had no problem in RDR1 but in RDR2 I always get bucket off to the left. I have the left stick all the way to the right or top right and it still happens. I have worn out and killed more horses in this game from exhaustion from repeatedly jumping on again and again trying to tame them. it's a complete PITA.

 

Lean back on the stick and hit the calm button a whole bunch. Thats what works for me

Is there a way to remove weapons all together or to set which ones you always have?
I am getting sick of having to adjust which weapon and ammo I have for which slot everytime I hop on or off of my horse. Basically its gotten to the point I only want 2 guns so I dont have to dick around every damn time.
I just got the 2 guns which is pretty cool how to can pick and chose which 2 you want to use.
They did a killer job with a lot on this game but I cant say I enjoy the game play. I feel like there is no real thinking to the missions. "Follow dot, shoot all guys, follow Next dot, kill more guys and run to here mission done"

Basically just complaining, I apologize. Maybe I just havent gotten far enough into the game yet. Still in chapter 2 so it might be still walking me through it all.

Either way, I could spend all day just trotting around and exploring. Beautiful graphics.

 

I never did it but I read you can set which weapons you always have while at a gun smith. Not sure if that’s true or not.

 

Works for Pistols and temporarily for long guns but goes away as soon as you get on your horse and the game automatically puts the long guns back in the saddle after a bit.

 

Once you get back off it'll put them back on your back. At least it does for me, never had an issue with selecting weapons

 

Dumb. After a while I had two favorite guns and could never remember which was was so I had to “clean” them to see up close which had the leather added.

Half the time I’d forget and do a mission with the wrong guns.

I had some duplicates too. That made it work. Should have fixed that I guess.

 

Certain missions will automatically have guns chosen for you and there isn't always time to get to your saddle to change them out so that's what you're left with. Also don't get caught out doing some bow or Varmint rifle stuff and walk into a cut scene. That can happen too.

 

Yep! I’ve done that too.

I get the auto assigned weapons but some of those sniper missions I really wish I had my own guns.

 

The legendary Panther is a PITA but I finally got him after 4 tries and 8 game days. If he kills you (which he probably will even with cover scent) you will have to wait 2 game days to find his trail again.

 

Anything new with online? I played the first couple days but haven’t since. Thinking about going back and doing all of the Easter eggs on the normal game.

 

Thanks, it's that easy. I was pushing up too much. I got all breeds but two tonight. I was even able to get the white Arabian again (Not part of the challenge). I named it Ivory Kissyface since I was bored and the and the stable guy said she should buck you off for naming her that.

I have not even tried online. I want to get all of the challenges done first. 68 completed so far.
