I did that for the first time a couple oil changes ago. Not because the filter wouldn't budge, but because I spent nearly $20 on a mobil 1 filter and noticed that it said on the box that it was good for up to 20k miles with synthetic oil.

I left it in on the next oil change but after 4k miles I got nervous about it and changed the oil/filter again lol. Honestly I think you'll be fine though. I think most oil filters never get used to their full potential in the changing intervals they see. But I'm sure that depends on the quality of the filter

Ill probably do another oil change in 2k and swap it out. I just have a trip coming this weekend for the new year and then following it up with a snow trip two weeks after that. With that Lisle wrench the Oil change will be even fster moving forward. The filer is the most annoying part lol One thing I like about 2nd gens. That filter is right on top.

I can usually get mine off by hand by reaching through the driver's side wheel well, once when I had trouble that way I found I could reach it from directly underneath...I don't recommend completely unscrewing it that way though unless you want a motor oil facial.

Rubber gloves makes getting them off by hand easier, gives you better grip

Hm weird, well guess its time to use a filter wrench or similar on it. Should come off easy once you do

Figured it will come right off with the wrench. Its weird tho because I only put it on hand tight last time.

I like using those oil filter socket adapters, so much easier than trying to fight a strap wrench or channel locks.

The old school way of punching a screw driver through it has worked for me. Drains the filter too.

I noticed the two door Scion tC I was working on had these nice looking black seats. They folded forward exactly like the Tacoma, so I decided to buy them.

Tomorrow I’ll be shampooing them with my RugDoctor, cutting off the stock feet, and welding the Tacoma feet on. Already a huge improvement over stock just sitting on them in my garage.

Tyler, good luck with the project, and I'm sure like others, I'm hopeful to see the results of the installation. These 1st gen Tacoma seats are killer on the lower back, for anyone taller than 5'! :annoyed:

Looks like it’ll be easier than I thought. @SafetyDang was able to re-use the bottom portion of the Tacoma rail mechanism and slide it directly into the Scion rail.

    I have mods
I haven't had any real issues with comfort and my stock seats during multiple hours long drives.

--LOL- apologies on that, boss man. Still a rookie here...

Good on ya. My lower lumbar's kicking my tail after an hour and a half of driving, but never have issues when in my 2011 T4R. Nonetheless, excited to see the results!
