    UPDATE: As of 1/10/2020 I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED MY $120 KNOB!!! I can see Derrick is still in business because his website mentions a "baby Yoda shift knob" and baby Yoda is relatively new. This dude screwed me in the rear and then blocked my emails and deleted his Instagram so I can't contact him there either. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANARCHY MOTIVE.

    I am going to preface this by saying please do not comment without reading the entire post. For anyone who is considering ordering a shift knob from Anarchy Motive, BEWARE. I ordered a knob back on May 14, 2018 for my 6 speed and now it is December 24, 2018 and I still have no product or a refund, which I have requested a couple of times. For proof here is a screenshot of the order confirmation email.
    Screenshot_20181224-094730.jpgNow, I emailed Derrick Tackett, presumably the owner of the company, a little more than a week after we originally talked about what I wanted to have made to see roughly how long it would take. He stated 7 to 9 weeks, which is understandable for a custom knob with color filled engraving.     I then sent him another email fifteen weeks later, this time requesting that he give me a full refund if he is unable to produce a shift knob. This email was on December 8, 2018. He has not responded.Screenshot_20181224-100105~2.jpg
    I sent another email today, December 24th, admittedly quite irritated at the lack of response from the last one and the fact that I have $120.11 withdrawn from my account and still have no product over half a year later. This one had a couple of expletives in it (which in hindsight may not have been the right choice but if it gets the point across so be it), so I will not show a screenshot so as to keep this thread from being taken down. All I want is a refund or the product in hand. Am I unreasonable to expect that a custom shift knob could be completed in seven and a half months? Let me know if you guys think I'm justified in this or if I'm way off base. All I'm saying is that I would very strongly recommend that no one ever order from him based on my experience.

    some vendors just manage their time like this. i am not defending him, after all i have a custom knob made, engraved, and painted by him.

    so, i emailed with him back and forth. i gave him time, asked on occasion for status, and kept it friendly... i wasn't in a rush.

    it took a long time but he was aware, and he did me right by sending me a red powdercoated Titan, one of his other knobs, for free.

    i was happy in the end, but it was arduous. next time I'm ordering from a guy here on TW, @7r41lbr34k3r ... he's got the real deal.

    Anarchy is not sheisty, just slow and not too good with communication. your warning looks fair to me though.

    i understand. if you're financially committed, and if you want the order completed, then get some holiday spirit going and bring in a friendly vibe, give it time, even tell him i told you to hold tight cus it's worth it. show hima pic of mine and he'll remember, and if he receives the good feeling all will be restored.

    I probably operate on a much smaller scale, but they have no business taking your money if they cannot get reasonably close to the original quoted time. In transactions like these, expectation is often what gets us crossed ... so constant communication is essential.

    They probably have more customers than they're able to communicate with, and it is likely you aren't the only one cursing them out right now.

    I quickly learned that 10 at a time is pretty comfortable for me, and after that I begin to feel like quality of communication suffers quite a bit.

    Honestly, I saw these kind of complaints before I started producing knobs... silver lining is that I can learn from their mistakes. The flip side is that I have to turn a lot of business away when the volume is too much for me, and have been cursed out for even that a few times.

    I can appreciate that you will temporarily turn down work to put out a high quality product and maintain communication with your customers. St.Germain said Anarchy Motive isn't scheisty so I did send an apology for the last email and I will just do business with you if I want a different knob at some point. Thanks for your insight.

    Yeah, I seriously doubt they dug into this hole on purpose.

    I still am reinvesting every dollar, my goal was/is this coming April to where I would even start "paying" myself a wage.

    There is always the allure of more, or faster equipment. We're always in between the next big equipment upgrade, and it is a pretty difficult thing to manage without taking serious risks.

    I ordered from them for my mustang that I had before my Tacoma.....took MONTHS. They did a good job but was it worth the wait? For me no. Rather get a knob somewhere else with a week or so turnaround. Numerous people on mustang6g had the same issue.

    Honestly I would be perfectly fine with a 2 month turnaround for a custom shift knob with color fill. But over nine months? It's getting ridiculous.

    Thanks for the offer, I actually have one of those myself though. I alternate between that and the stock knob every once in a while. Appreciate the heads up on the new company too!

    I generally do not do business with any company that doesn’t provide a phone number. The net is great but sometimes the best and only way to resolve something is talking to a real live human. I notice that Anarchy has 3 ways to contact them but a phone number isn’t one of them. Think maybe there’s a reason for that? When I do have to call I follow up with an email so I have written documentation of what transpired.

    Ok, is there any way I can get his website shut down or something? That dillweed stole my $120 and I STILL don't have the product 10 months after ordering.

    Well he finally responded after I flooded his email with like 6 of them so I could be sure he saw one of the emails lol. All he said in respect to a date was "You'll get your knob when I ship it." I wonder how many more months that'll be. And he still hasn't given me the one thing I have asked him for a few times now. A simple picture to show that my knob is actually in production. I'll give him a month. After that I go to the bank and try to get my $$ back.
