    Has anyone had any luck programming the Hypertech inline module with 4.88 gears and 33 inch tall tires thank you

    Even if you enter the tire size of original to the new tire size it’s still off

    Things
    Use the actual tire size in inches instead. You’ll get a more accurate reading that way.

    "33 inch" tires often vary drastically in actual height. Mine was off a bit so I just modified the size in hypertech until it was spot on with GPS.

    I thought the tacoma read the rotation at the wheel and sends the info that adjusts the speedo based off of that

    I know real solid description o_O

    Doesn’t matter what all those pages say, not do I care.

    Fact of the matter is that a gear change does not effect the speedo. Period.

    Source: I have 4.30’s installed on an AT truck and when they were installed the speedo did not change. Also, I have the hypertech and 285/75/16’s and did not need to alter the gear ratio settings.

    Yes do NOT change the gear specs in hypertech software. Only tire diameter

    And a 4.30 gear with that tire size you have would be dead on
