How does the seat spacer mod work for taller people? I'm 6'3" and have never been "comfortable" with the way the seat sits.

The carpet on the passenger side floor was damp. Took the windshield cowl off and checked everything in there. Everything looked good. The cabin air filter was bone dry. Shot compressed air into the air conditioner condensation discharge tube...nothing, no water came out. Looked up under the dash and couldn't see anything that was wet or looked like it had been wet. Pulled out the glovebox and cabin filter, dry. Cleaned out that little pocket in the front fender ahead of the front door. A few leaves in there nothing much. I'm at a loss as to where the water came from. After the holidays I'll get a hose on it and see what I see.

From someone with chronic back problems I reccomend the seat spacer mod. Worst case if you didnt like it you could sell it easily.

I am 6'1, and it helped put me in a more natural position to drive. I feel way better on drives of any length

You wouldn't really be able to lift the front with a simple spacer since it bolts to the floor at an angle.

The spacer isn't so much about height as it is about forcing the back on the seat higher while keeping the front the same. It changes your sitting angle and allows you to utilize the lumbar support better.

I made some cheap as in $25 in all mods to the drivers seat took a 2" extra dense foam pad (pic shows 1") and fit to the bottom seat, shave off to ur comfort...took 4" same material and added bolsters to a 1" extra dense foam pad...play around with the size shape etc till ur comfortable...spray glue it in place on the backing pad.....I happen to like the blanket seat covers, they are just loose enuf to cover this nicely...been over 6 months..foam still firm and in place best of all u can adjust the whole seat to fit you not just raise it...

if you want extra filtration for particles you may want to look into by pass filter systems this is a Amsoil unit, rated at 98% efficient at 2 microns vs the nominal 20 micron OEM units....good for 60K miles...I test discharge to watch for carry over as a siginal filter is in need of a change...

Bypass oil filtration features a secondary filter with the purpose of eliminating nearly all contaminants from motor oil. Bypass filters have high capacities and eliminate much smaller particles than full-flow filters. constant flow of aprox 7% of your capacity
