Once you go black on the tail lights can you go back to stock color ? I smoked mine and not sure I really like it. Anyone know how I could take the paint off of them?
    Thanks

    None yet! It's new!
I don't get why people do this. I saw one the other day and I could barely see his brake lights.

You should be able to sand it off exactly how you prepped it, then maybe just add the clear coat. I'm not sure how that would look though as I've never done it.

I did think about sanding them and doing a clear coat, I didnt sand them when I smoked them so it might work well, I dont really want to trade them if anything I might just find a used pair and sell the black ones

To the original post...the easiest thing for you to do maybe to swap with someone who wants smoked tails.

so from what i've read, you didn't prep the bare light right? and you didn't throw clear over the tint?

In this case you can use a gas soaked rag and wipe it away.

should be able to use some plastic polish, it will take a long time. start in one area to break under the clear/tint and work your way out from there.

I'd try the gas and rub really good.

If that doesn't work then you'll have to sand and buff the bare light to get it back to normal
