hey guys, I have a 2016 silver trd sport. Looking to trade my scooped hood for one without the scoop. The longer I have the truck the more I realize that the scoop just isn’t my style. I’m in the Phoenix area so hit me up if interested

I’m guessing you’ll find someone for this!! I’d probably do it if it where white and you were close to me.

I hope so. It’ll be a lot cheaper than buying a new one lol

Make sure you take off the optional panty catcher can also. You won't be getting anymore thrown at you

If you wanted you can probably get $400-500 on top of your hood swap. Just FYI.

Oh really? I didn’t realize that. I figured it’d be a pretty fair trade since the hood scoop isn’t functional and just a design feature

Yeah the going rate is the non-scooped hood + $400-500. It's largely because the ratio of non-scoops looking to trade for a scoop vs the opposite is like 100:1. lol

Obviously condition does come into play, though.

It's supply and demand, not functionality.

Not functional? Whaa? My adds temporary invincibility and tighter turning radius.

Some people will add some cash to the deal. Just keep in mind your hood is a few years old. You might find someone with a brand new truck or one that’s not very old. Paint may be in better condition.

Also another thing to keep in mind is fading. A new hood on your truck or your old one on a new truck may be a shade or two off.

That’s a good point. It might be harder than I thought to get a good match. Although it’s only 3 years old but the Phoenix sun can do some damage in the summer

Before you trade your hood, have you looked into trading (or selling) your Sport for a SR5? Might be able to get a good deal this time of year on 2018 a dealer wants to move. Yes, you could look at an Off Road 2019, but I was thinking of a way to get a flat hood and a financially good deal.

    I have a Gashole
It has function......as an insect catcher.
I'm in Queen Creek. A few of my neighbors have Taco's.I'll be on the lookout for some silvers and leave notes on their windshields.
