    Yep. It's painful.

We had a Chevy Avalanche, which was a pretty cool vehicle with a rather luxurious and even functional interior.

Great for long car trips pulling a camper and hauling stuff, but not great as a daily driver in town--hard to park, lousy gas mileage, etc.

I don't expect too much from my vehicles but safety and functionality are first and foremost. Re' the spartan interiors of trucks of olde...I am imagining splitting my head open on the rock-hard dash, because no shoulder belts and no airbags. Everyone smoked and no one wore seat belts back then either. The olde days...yeah they were pretty crummy.

I think the Tacoma interior is functional and not painfully unstylish like the 4Runner. My preference is for Teutonic simplicity like the BMW X3 or 3 series, but I'll take the Tacoma for a truck.

I can add a little color to Toyota interiors in general.

I think my 2017 TRD Off Road interior is fine (tech pkg)...but!!!

We bought a 2018 Sequoia Platinum edition recently and the interior is pretty weak. My wife loved it and it’s a wonderful vehicle, but the Infotainment enter isn’t even as nice as my Tacoma. Small screen and not easily interfaces.

It’s basically a Tundra interior with some wood grain added. It pales in comparison to the Yukons or Expeditions, but we love the Toyota quality, so we overlooked the bells and whistles for the long haul advantages of drivetrain and resale value.

My moms 2018 Platinum Expedition is like a space ship. Is super nice and the most expensive thing ive ever driven but its just too much shit for me. I chose the Tacoma for the simplicity. If i want to take the dash apart and wire up lights or stereo stuff i have no problems because all ill need is a 10mm. :D

Lol. It’s like the interior of the 4 runner was made with the same components of that. Too funny

The Ram needs a quality entertainment system so you have something to do while waiting for the tow truck

Lol...it’s all subjective I guess, I had a 2013 and 2014 and both of them were less trouble than this Tacoma. Most everyone is building a pretty good truck these days so it’s all subjective to tastes needs and wants anyway. I needed resale to shed a little backwards equity, so the Tacoma will serve its purpose for me. I am waiting to see what they do with the changes in the Tundra before making any moves anytime soon. Increase the MPG on the Tundra and I will go back to a full size. I think they are built better.

I agree. It's all anecdotal. I've owned 3 Chrysler products in my life and they all had tow truck required failures under 50,000 miles.

With that experience I doubt they will ever make anything that will convince me to buy another one.

Coming from a 2000 TJ that didn't even have air conditioning, I feel the same.

Hell even my 2012 Nissan Couple was like being in the stone age compared to my new truck. It had the ghetto one disc CD player, and no blue tooth.

After ridding myself of the red interior trim, I think it's perfect.

Probably driving, it's getting old for some.

I can't give it up though
