Took the truck out this week end for the first time in two weeks. Feels good to sit behind that steering wheel!

I actually had a 3rd passenger too. Happened a few time but never with the dog also! I made another dog platform, wich is a little bit longer than the half of the full one. No pics, but it is only a 20"x30" piece of plywood. Added a 1"thick blue foam over for comfort, and a blanket. Buddy sat on jump seat lol I think the dog was better

+- 150miles round trip. Not much but but fun. Now the truck is back in the garage in prevision of the work/maintenance I have to do on it. The new creeper I got for my bday will be useful!

Good to have it on the road some, I'd miss my taco if I don't get to drive it after a bit even with my 2 wheel obsession.

Hopefully that oil burning trick helps! Were you previously using synthetic? How much were you burning? I can’t remember.

i try to find reasons to use it but ive been really busy lately lol

always used synthetic, now on regular. If it does stop or slow it I may just keep it on regular. Much cheaper! And I do way less millage than this summer

    Today was a fun day.

Called my father, told him I was working on the truck, so if he has nothing to do he can stop by and help.

While I was waiting for him I took off the front drive shaft, and noticed the joints are not the same. Hafl my bad, half autoparts store bad. They couldn't find the PN, so I figures it was all the same. Wrroong , they are smaller. Fortunately, they where still in very good shape! I put the driveshaft on the truck and tackled the passenger side caliper with my dad. That one was really shot. Less worned than the driver side. While taking it off a brake pad broke off. Called the autoparts store to have then deliver a set of pads. Then took the disc off... Dang! That one is shot! Called the autoparts again, to have then deliver 2 rotors. So the caliper job ended being a complete front brake job lol

Did a test drive. Truck has finally stopped pulling left when braking, and I bled all 4 corners to change the brake fluid, and also got rid of the squishi pedal. That feels great! But now at 40mph i have a vibration... didn't had enough time today to find it, but tomorrow i'll be troubleshooting. As of right now, I have two options in mind. One is center bearing not on the right side, other is a dent on the drive shaft...

    Any thoughts?

Update, found the trouble, with help from my mechanic, my dad and @ovrlndkull ,

When I put all the parts back together on the DS, i dephased the yoke in front of the carrier bearing. Put it back the its orignal position solved the problem

Haha thought it was an english word:anonymous:

It is when two parts are not balanced together. Like, it is at first, but then if you move it you screw the harmony between the two lol you have to pit it back at the same spot so it goes back in phase haha
