NP, think it should be outside of having to fab up something to make the E Locker function

Here is a link to my posting and photos of my diff. They look like mine. Does the front of your diff look the same too? Does it have an e-locker? Or do you have all the answers you desired. Also, I'm not sure the rear sticker is good enough since the gears are actually connected to the front piece, note the sticker on the front section.

Just to be clear, you are saying that the front side of your rear differential does not have the e-locker on it? That little motor with a wire plugged into it.

I say it this way to ensure you are not referring to the front axle.

That's okay. I can usually pick up on the way someone words a posting as to what they might be talking about which is why I responded that way. I help moderate a forum dealing with a lot of technical data and trying to convey accurate data can be a challenge especially across the world with different languages.

To get back to your diff question, you could simply turn the input yoke and count how many turns it takes to turn the axles one revolution, or to be more precise make ten revolutions. I'd block one axle so it can't turn at all. Or if you wanted to you could take the diff apart and count the teeth on the ring gear. If you got a rear end from the junk yard, it's a very good idea to take it apart anyway and clean it out, inspect it for damage, then put it back together.

    Good Luck!

I am looking to purchase a pre owned TRD OR and have noticed the trucks made in the USA vs the ones made south of THE WALL have different codes. Some with the same equipment will have these axle codes
    A04D (made in Mexico)
    B07B (made in USA)

Maybe you compared an OR with a Sport or an Automatic with a Manual?

I believe 1G3 is your color, and FL13 is the Trim

All new under the floor, factory frame swap. Bucket seat swap. Bilstein 4600 shocks and X Runner rear swaybar. 4:10 DIfferential. 225/60/17 on Sienna 5 spoke alloy wheels. After market black headlights. OE replica fog lights. OE Intermittent wipers plug and play. Leather steering wheel (OE eBay) that came with a cruise stalk, I bought the $38 OE wire to plug into the clock spring, plug and play.
I know this thread is old, but, The link below will help you determine what your diff ratio is, specifically your OEM ratio though it will figure non OEM ratios also.

    https://www.blocklayer.com/rpm-gear.aspx

It's pretty easy to figure out, and fun. I had changed wheels and tires (+2.4" diameter) so I knew the speedo was wrong.
I used a smart phone app to know my exact speed.
I knew the trans ratios, I knew the tire diameter and I knew my speed at particular RPMS.

The MPHs (at a particular RPM in 3rd and 4the gears) were not jibing with the diff ratio that my Tacoma was supposed to have, which should have been 3.58-1 based on the A01A code on the door jam sticker. My Tacoma is a base 5-lug regular cab 2TR/Auto which is obviously 2WD.

After trying the 3.58 ratio ratio I plugged in 3.73 and that ratio jibed with the speeds I observed.

Here an image of the diff ratios Toyota says are in 2WD models, MY 2008.

@Tacoma Nick, Unless someone swapped out your gearing, your truck has 3.58:1.

Keep in mind that your tach can read incorrectly as well, and that without the torque converter locked up, the engine speed can be different than the transmission speed.

2018 TRD Sport 4x4 AUTO, my door jamb reads A04A. According to the chart, that's 8.0, 3.727:1, and Open (no locker).

    Can someone confirm that?

I have 4.88 gears from Yukon, thick gears for the front, 3.73 and down carrier. Just trying to ensure I got the right ones.

You have an 8.0 3.91:1 Open. There have been a few trucks that seem off from what I originally posted years ago. I haven't really done much research since that first post.

Are you able to post a picture of your data tag (or PM it to me)?
