What Subaru do these fit? Wondering if I could find them in a junkyard.

I don't think it is the tweeter rattling but the cover rubbing on the A Pillar

Mine don't rattle at all, though my temps in the AM are only around 35-45 degrees fahren.

It is a known issue, you can pull the cover off and put some felt on it or even stick a business card in between.

Yeah, I've had this on my passenger side cover since day 1. Dealer "fixed" once... but temp changes cause it to come and go. I found a clear plastic tab from something in garage and wedged between the cover and the A pillar and that took care of issue for the most part.

Not quite 5 minutes. The bolt closest to the windshield is a bitch to get out if you only have a standard size ratchet kit and man-sized hands. It’s a very tight work space with the windshield blocking most movement and leverage. And the plastic pieces you need to pry up are very brittle; so go slow and maybe don’t do this in the cold, when the plastic is even less pliable.

The sound improvement is okay; not as earth shatteringly different as seems to be the common feedback. But i’m not an audiophile and my 42 year old ears are probably too worn out from decades of metal concerts to get a quality listen. For sure, its louder; so if thats what you’re after, then this works.

I guess it hits people differently and could depend a lot they type of music/talk you listen to. Keep the volume low so it's easy to have a conversation in the cab and you probably won't notice much difference. Crank up some rock n roll and there is a noticeable improvement. At least to my ears. Anyways, it's $100. If it only gets marginally better for most people this won't break the bank or send you swearing at the computer screen.

Just did mine, it took 15mins total. A wrench definitely makes getting that bolt next to the windshield really easy.

I made the swap two weeks ago and the sound is unbelievable! Now, I will like to swap the ones on the doors. Is there a direct swap as well? I will like a plug and play, not interested in amps etc.

Ordered! Has anyone tried to replacing the stock teeeters without removing the pillar? I’m just being lazy and don’t want to unplug the battery potentially setting off the airbag.

Removing the A pillars is easy, there is a tab under there that might break if you don’t. Don’t bother disconnecting the battery. I changed a couple hundred airbags without ever disconnecting a battery.
