Get some Mastinox slather the misalignments and the new bolt in that shit when u put it back together...it will never seize in there...use the stuff on helicopters all the time...have pulled out close tolerance bolts out of old crusty airframes from Vietnam and they still look new cause of the stuff lol

Try heating it up with a propane torch and touch some candle wax to it. It's an old trick I learned for seized bolts. The wax will wick into the tightest nooks and should free up some movement. It doesn't have to be cherry red for this to work either, just hot to enough to melt the wax. Once it cools, you can try working out the seized sleeve. Also don't use your wife's soy candles either, soy wax doesn't wick the same as regular candle wax. I use cheap birthday candles and it works really well.

Edit: just saw you got it out. Still a good trick to keep in your toolbox for the future.

Anyone know if the rugged radios like the rm60 can be VFO? As in manually dial in a frequency?

I have the TM-281 which can, probably cheaper too

EDIT: Instructions say for programming you have to contact someone. So unless you have the software (CHIRP?) or know someone with it, no.

Yea I have chirp and stuff. Just wondering for doing like temporary frequencies to dial in real quick not necessarily program into the unit

I have the rm60. I asked for a remote with a keypad so I can key in frequencies. Didn’t originally come with it even though I think they show it in the pics. Call and order and ask for that and you will be good. Otherwise you are limited to the race frequencies that they program or that you ask them to program in.

Speaking of channels, does anyone have an updated list? I feel like every site I see has different channel names/freqs list

Does anyone have a shop local to Orange County or riverside/corona area that’ll do the cab mount chop affordably? Going to give dmz a call but have a feeling it might be pricey

Few of the fab guys I linked up with when I was Lt no longer have shops

I just did my rack--it was soft line to the drivers side rear and hard line passenger side front.
