    Anyone seen the goehino d6 running boards/sliders? Any thoughts on them? May get them instead of trail gears. Can get a hell of a deal on the d6s now. Mount to the frame and also serve as a step. Any thoughts?

    They say on their website they can be used for rock protection as well as step bars. They are just like sliders woth fill plates.

    you need to check the actual install info on those, every model shows mounting to body mount, inner rocker and/or pinch weld. they may lever off the frame, that is not the same as frame mounted

    ARMOR does not generally involve body mounts and pinch welds other than cutting for clearance.

    cheap is as cheap does.....

    According to their website the D6 isn't offered for the tacoma. I personally wouldn't buy either. I have to agree with @Blkvoodoo and @Sandman614 on this. I have filler plates on my true sliders yeah it's more expensive but I have a true slider that you can drop the weight of the truck onto and not have to worry about hurting the body. Why do you need the step anywho just tell the GF to jump higher.
