Anyone here ever had SMOG tech give them a hard time about snorkel? I was thinking I'd get one someday but I have had bad luck with those jackasses (recently had to special order s/c sticker...)

I think the program is done as in no new stickers unless you’re buying/bought a new EV.

There's a new sticker coming out Jan 1st and you can still get the red one valid for another 2 years. I don't know all the details for qualification, but it doesn't have to be a new car as long as it hasn't ever had a sticker before.

Not enough to have a build thread.
From what I know a snorkel shouldn't affect smog. It's only from the MAF sensor to the cat that you cant modify. Since the snorkel is before the MAF, you're fine.

ANYTHING before the air filter assembly will not fail the visual test

If a customer modified the intake system by replacing air filter assemby with a air snorkle to the MAF sensor .that would be considered Modified.also in Ca, Any aftermarket coldair intake assembly must be CARB approved ,we verify those components on the CARB website whether the OE sticker is on the vehicle or not. Ive personally seen alot of home made crap customers have installed (all types of vehicles) over the years. They were better off just leaving it stock.

How often are you guys servicing your transmissions? I’ve got 46,000 on the odometer and most of that is wheeling trips as that’s all we use the truck for.

Should I just do a drain and fill or a full service?

Dealer said a full service isn’t necessary until 90,000 miles and they want $400 to do it
