Do I need piece 21 if I have a 2012 but accidentally got rid of some pieces when putting on my plate bumper? Can anyone show a pic of where piece 21 is actually located on their truck?

21 is a bracket that holds on the left & right lower portion of the OEM bumper, it attaches from the reinforcement bar to the bumper and wheel liner.

Here you can see it looking thru my front left wheel liner.

Looks outstanding! Thanks for sharing the pics. the truck looks great!
I think its only a matter of time before I do this. Especially now that I am getting a new frame I plan on keeping the truck for a while.

Thanks man! I feel the same way now that I have a new frame under my truck, I’ll for sure be putting a new engine in my truck before I would sell and replace my Tacoma. At least I know without a doubt what’s been done to my truck.

The reinforcement is actually a different length.

The hood is a different shape in the front and has to be replaced as well.

do the 2012 headlights actually bolt to the side cross members? my center one is already completely gone (Winch)

could i get away with only buying the headlights, grill, and hood?

They mount to the bumper support bracket. I suspect you could hack something together to keep them firmly in place if the bracket is gone. It's only one of four bolt mounts. The other 3 are the same as the 2005 headlights.

However, I'd be worried about the grill and headlight trim lines working with your aftermarket bumper. They're a bit different.

How does the 12-15 grilles get supported under the grille? 2 screws and 2 snaps on top of the grille..
