Sound Resonator, most trucks had them. You don’t need it, you can make a straight tube like @Speedytech7

Like I said you don’t need it, most trucks have it but if you find a variation with it or without it there’s no difference at all.

All I can think of that’ll be different is the MAF.

Figured I’d get something nice for my mom. They don’t have much cookware here so I gotta go drop by William-Sonoma next. Looking for All-Clad or Le Creuset cookware.

I read later about some people removing it thinking it was restrictive to give them better airflow/power through the intake...sort of like the idea behind the deckplate mod. I think that's why the PO took it off on my truck.

 

I have no idea, I don’t think you NEEDA it for the stock box though, he only needed it for his snorkel

 

Yeah it's only there as a safety feature of sorts I think to pull air from a safe location away from dirt/water etc. I didn't even know mine was gone and it ran fine without it for those 2 and a half years before I put on the snorkel.

I think I remember seeing mine when I replaced my fenders, I think I might get a snorkel for the 99 after I swap the intake, if they work with ditch lights anyway.

 

Should clear the ditch lights, think a few people that have bought the cheap ebay one have been installing it with their ditch lights

I just don’t know if they’d rub, my ditches a bigger than the average pod.

I’m happy with my K&N tube, I’ll be replacing it with an AFE dry when I supercharge.
