As long as you were hungry... Totally smoked George. Not burned George!
He's crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Slobbers and drips as you cut, and you can see I have to dam up the juice to get that far. He's 50% gone, and fixing to go carve the other half. YUM!

I'm making chicken broccoli cheese casserole tonight because I just want some simple comfort food. I made fajitas on Saturday, we had BBQ Sunday, Olive Garden catered for the big family get together on Christmas Eve, and then traditional Christmas meal yesterday early afternoon and then tacos last night.

Alrighty then. Here is some happiness for me and Little Big Red. And not near the labor that @MattCowsmasher or @CedarPark put in, but back to things I can do. Well almost.

First; Mrs. Oldie got me some yellow fog replacements for the scarred old clear ones. They were supposed to be glass lens, but are really plastic, but should be no bother for me. As they are replacements, should not need the harness or switch. But, I sort of covet the switch because it says FOG. And son home from college got me these cool new adhesive LED for replacing my home brew DRLs I put on last year. Already have the wiring. Old ones have a couple burned out LED, and the homemade seal I made (after applying lock-tite to the mounting screws MELTED the plastic) has failed. So, a little more "modern" looking. And Santa brought me a new front/rear, recording camera to play with. The only mod there is that I am planning to convert the front sunglass holder in the overhead console to power for that and Mr. Garmin; so no more cables everywhere!

    20181226_163841.jpg

And, LBR got some paint and clear coat for Christmas. I will have to go have her finished out for my birthday, but the difference (to me) is astounding. Far better than my DIY (it lasted a year, and for $50, no complaints), this exceeded my scope. Both doors on both sides, over the pillars and the roof. NO MORE clear coat rash. Ugly day for pix, but here are a couple that make me real happy. Soon, the world will suffer as I add more to my "album"!

We’re looking for 10+ this year. I finally talked my wife into moving out to the country. Looking for a house and enough space for a little farm. Gonna let my parents build a barndominium on our land. Deal is we buy the land and they build the barndo, and I get the barn part.

I am hoping so! I promised that
    1. Would NOT wax or polish anything
    2. Would NOT play in the mud! :anonymous:

That looks delish. Maybe a New Years Ham in our future? Stay tuned to be bugged for detail!
We love the turkey on the grill (and I managed to get it completely in between rain storms), because it give her the stove for everything else!

It's not easy to grill in bad weather so extra Kudos!

Honestly, we were in Walmart and when I saw a spiral sliced Smithfield for $1.98 a lb I bought the biggest, firmest, most uniform football shaped one they had. Sat in the garage fridge for 4 days. Once ready, smeared it with a half cup of brown sugar, a jar of pineapple marmalade then topped with pineapple and sprinkled with ground cloves and pumpkin pie seasoning. After it was was done, just glazed with the included glaze and then back in the oven uncovered for an additional 30 min.

It rendered 2 cups of liquor that became gravy. It is so good over mashed potatoes.

Well, I was voted off the island, but anything that renders 2 cups of LIQUOR when cooked, is going to be a hit in our group! :proposetoast:

Are you clearing cedar, or rock? If its rock, just offer it as natural stone and say it's free for hauling, let others do the work for you.

Hahahaha voted off! I'd take the bird with me.

Yea, and since it's so concentrated it can be cut with at least 2 cups of water.
