The nightmare with my 2018 Tacoma is over, I traded it on a 2018 T4R. I only owned the Tacoma for 4 months, and they were all unhappy months. I usually average about 8 years with my vehicles. But as they say, life is too short to not be happy. A little pain now is better than gritting my teeth every time I drive somewhere. The 20 mile drive home in the 4Runner was sublime. It just goes when you press the throttle, and the transmission is not neurotic. I had a 2010 Tacoma SR5 4.0 before, and oh how I missed the bottom end grunt of that engine.

Welcome to the club. Great color. Nautical Blue is the best but i'm not biased or anything.

Nice! I’ve got a Nautical Blue SR5P! I like the Off Road wheels on your 4Runner, mine came with the base SR5 wheels which aren’t my favorite. I’ll be swapping them out eventually.

I'm thinking about matte black TRD wheels but these are growing on me. Some sort of dealer swap/scam was going on with these wheels. They wanted to charge extra. Ha! Not happening.

I had been thinking about the same, but the price I can get the Off Road wheels as take offs on Craigslist might be too appealing.

The OR wheels are superior to the TRD Pro wheels anyway... and IMO look better on a darker vehicle like yours.

What kinda prices are you seeing on CL for the OR wheels? If I go the TRD route I'd probably sell these to offset the cost. I don't really need spare wheels. M/S tires get me thru everything I typically encounter, no need for snow tires or offroad.

$300+. I got a set for $320 (west coast). I've seen them listed for more but I have no idea if they sold for those prices. Some guys think their shit is made of gold and wanted $700+ for them.

My Girl just picked this up. First 4.0 I have driven and they are definitely bad ass. I drove my cousins 17 Taco with the smaller v6 in it once too, was alright but I really like the 4.0. Makes me really want one now.

And don't forget they have a 15 mm offset vs 30 mm. So they sit a bit more toward the fender.

Did you buy it with the Trail rims?

I guess I should say TRD OR wheels. The Trail rims were all silver....no black areas

Yeah I know, you have the Duratrac tires mounted to the 4Runner wheels?
