    ...too much shit to list.
Things got a little too crazy at the chicken ranch!

@kceastsparks is relatively ok all things considered. Broke 4 vertebrae but the rest of the passengers and doggo walked away unscathed.
Christmas or not, FknKyle is family. And he’s cuter than my in-laws anyway.

have a reputable shop change transmission filter and do a full flush do get ALL the old fluid out and replenish with fresh atf, at the recommended service interval.

A lot of CAI kits are not California legal. This is because they modify the amount of air allowed into the engine. Some will go to CaRB to seek approval-some will get the stamp while others may not.

Definitely worth a call to the mfg.

There is a write up on the fill procedure it’s drain-overfill-run truck and excess comes out. Not hard but need to follow instructions. Check mod -DIY thread. Should be there. If you can’t find it lmk.

I never know what mechanics do when the my do fluids. Some shops or oil change places will actually flush all old fluid out but most probably don’t. I wouldn’t worry at 50k. Maybe do it at 75k which is still well ahead of service interval.

The Spray Paint I had on my sliders is wearing off, looking to possibly get them powder coated. Anyone know of a good powder shop in the east Bay? Do they scrape and prep or do I need to? Thanks!

Aren’t you a manual? If so simple drain and fill. ~2 qts of redline MT-90. I don’t know the exact mileage, but I’ve changed mine 3 times in about 5.5 years. Would change if it starts to feel notchy, always felt better after.

Warning - it goes in pink but comes out brown ;)

Dont PC your sliders....if you ise your truck, its a waste. If you dont, then by all means hit up @JLee . i think he still PC's.

I had my dad weld my sliders together at his job since they have bad ass welders. ...well....he wanted to do a good deed and PC them for me. They are a bitch when you scab them up on the rocks. Time to touch them up

I’ve been told that the PC can hide rust under it. I redo mine annually in the spring after all those wet mall puddles. It doesn’t seem to last but they don’t look bad to untrained eyes

I don’t bang them up often, this year I think they took 2 hits. I think PC is the way for me to go, if I was banging off them every trip I’d definitely stick to paint

Great little publication-read the bit about the Rebel Rally too. I supported the Locos Mocos for this one.

What a great article MJ! Thanks for pointing us to it and to TCT.

Honestly you still pick up random road chips and such and it starts to rust. best bet is to just spray paint a couple coats and call it a day.

I gave up keeping my sliders nice. Rattle can once a yr if that. While welded on so just a piece of cardboard and s spray can works wonders.
