I may have purchased a few items from the girls. I'm blessed to know them and have had the experience of pre running with them.

Yeah that's pretty much what I do as well. The rest of the frame gets it as well with Rust reformer. Sand down any super rusty spots and throw some extra paint on the spot.

 

Don't wait until the 90.
I did 2 3qt drain n fills by 90-110, I'd have to look it up, but shit didn't look pretty.
Did a full drain of the system the last time and used 13 qts I believe.

If you get the fluid, I have no problem helping you with it, it pretty easy.
You don't want to do the flush method the dealers do.

 

It depends on how they're flushing it. I'm not a fan of the BG (and similar others) flush gimmicks. One guy I new would disconnect the cooler lines, let one flush out into an empty bucket and have another clean bucket that would get sucked back into the trans if I remember right. Or maybe he just kept pouring into the trans. It was a while back. I just remember it was a true flush. Usually used 20-30 qts. I'm a fan of just dropping the pan, changing the filter, and refilling with fluid on a regular basis.

Yeah I just pull the trans return line and dump into a bucket. Usually around 11+ quart you can see fresh fluid coming out.
If his is the same type trans as I have, it should only have a metal screen for a filter, I just add in the fill plug.

 

He was a tech at the first shop I worked at. Dont see him anymore.

 

Yeah on the 4r form this is a big controversy on just doing a drian n fill or full flush, depending on miles.
Fear of the dealer using the machine and pushing gunk in the pump section.

Eh I had mine "flushed" at the dealer at 90 and haven't had any issues. Now I just disconnect the cooler lines as previously mentioned, easier and cheaper.

Alrighty, well the truck is back on the road. Gotta bleed the shit out of my brakes, they're super spongy from a broken brake line(that I replaced). Praying I didn't get any air in the master. Need to find a new alignment shop, Fairfield Tire told me they're charging me double from now on because I asked for a custom alignment (done that 4 times with them now, the last time I had a stripped cam bolt and they took an hour and a half to get me a driveable alignment....barely) and was told my truck is to custom at this point and they prefer to stick to OE specs. Oki doki, I'll take my business elsewhere lol.
