Can probably flip that thing for good money. It's a low mileage 2nd Gen single cab 5-Lug.

Ordered lower control arms and ball joints for the taco. That’s about all that’s going on

 

They’re isn’t any grounds to the valve cover
There is a ground on the passenger side at the back of the head to the firewall and one next to the disgnostic port

 

New frame. Old frame still has the other ones. I want a roller damnit

 

He has a frame he's building on

 

Attach to the head... not the cover

 

What exactly is it doing? Just cranking like crazy? Did you unplug the cam sensor at all or rip the wiring?

 

The ground that effects the coils is the one on the driver side of the plenum.

Since the valve cover is aluminum & the broken extractor is hss (or carbon steel if a cheap one), you can dissolve it with alum or nitric acid. Look up "dissolving tap in non ferrous metal" for more details if you want to try it.

Otherwise someone with a mill can get it out but you'd have to take the valve cover off.

I've never needed to do it myself. I have a mill so I've had good luck using a carbide endmill. But Alum you can find at the grocery store in the spice section, it's used for pickling.

 

wonder what the feasibility of putting a 4runner body on a double cab frame is...

 

hmm never mind. wheelbase is way off. guess my 4runner will be a partout whenever he sells it to me lol
