On Dec 22, 2018 a patch was made available to the original limited release of dongle users with either 04B04 or 04A61 ECU Calibration IDs.

^^^ I was beat. I didn't want to quote the links because then OVTuned can't edit his post.

I got windows and used boot camp. I wish I just bought a cheap windows device instead. It’s not much more and it could stay with the truck. I don’t like leaving my MacBook in it at all.

I just flashed windows 10 onto my MacBook Pro yesterday, using bootcamp is super easy. Just find a video on YouTube for more details if you need help

For anyone wondering, here is what the 4th gear hang looks like. Keep in mind this truck is running stock wheels/tires/suspension. Trip meter shows how many miles are on 1.05 since flashing. Video was on a completely flat stretch of road with no wind. Running 91 octane 1.05. Sometimes won't shift from 4<5 until you let off the throttle. Wish I had logging set up so I could log this. I have Techstream, so maybe I can figure that out some time.

You and I both (on both counts, weight and lack of desire for a custom tune).. I realize we are not everyone but, I hope and suspect we will be part of the majority.

I have had custom tunes in the past for various vehicles tuned via Cobb AccessPort, and while they can be great, it seems totally unnecessary for my situation with the Tacoma. With that said, it is nice the option is there for those who still have some drivability issues.

Edit - And 40lbs of sand right in front of the tailgate...

I'm just happy my order went from "label Created" to having a delivery date ;)
Thanks Mat, I'm sure you're slammed, and I appreciate the orders going out. I mean, I can't even bitch about it if I don't HAVE it yet, right?

Mat will get the 4th gear hang fixed guys. Meanwhile...today was the first day I accidentally broke my tires free in the rear. Definitely more power with 1.05 that I’m not use to, but after some acclimatization
I can tell this tune is better all around and will make 1.04r feel wimpy...stock tune probably feels like engine is off

Most of the issues we are seeing from the initial release of 1.05 are related to the A/T shift points, with the exception of the idle surge that may or may not be present in the 1.05 M/T version when it is released. Historically the M/T's seem to have fewer issues with the tune.

Ohhh, can't wait for that! I turned off my traction control tonight on the way home from work, power sliding around the cloverleaf on ramp Fairview Oregon at about 35 mph was down right fun! Bam, love the hell out of my truck, running 1.04 on 92.
Been tuned for about 4 months and put almost 10 thousand miles. Noticed a sizable increase in power, transmission was 60 percent better with 1.04! Have noticed that coming home from work for the last month it wants 4th gear from just south of Portland up to the top of Terwilliger. I am usually going 60 to 75 up that hill, most because I will switch to 4S to get it stay in 1 gear.
After 1st getting my software I could hold 5th gear at 55 to 60 without it gear hunting, it is doing that again now. The higher rpm and increased power makes me drive it harder and more aggressively. My wife complains that every time she rides with me in the GX or my taco someone honks at me or flips me off! I say hang up the phone and drive your F**cking car. Some people drive like shit here, so I drive aggressively cause I can and it's fun as shit.
Anyone have any experience with a body lift, like 1 to 2 inches? I need a little more clearance up front so me suspension will stop rubbing when stump jumping!

Yes Portland drivers are horrible. I'm on 1.04 and eagerly awaiting 1.05.

I'm planning on going with the Old Man Emu heavy duty setup. Should run about $1400 bucks.

I had the emus. I would’ve done the Bilstein 6112’s / 5160’s given the second chance. I had the medium emus and there were too damn stiff, the preload on those shocks is designed for overlanders, it ruined my ball joints in my UCAs fast

He’s still adjusting for the problems that have come up. More fine tuning I guess. He hasn’t released it yet tho minus the test release files for the dongle guys.
