This is the most time off I take. The week we take in the summer I end up leaving and going back to work.

That’s not going to be a vacation.

We go to the beach every year but it’s with the in laws. About half way into the week I find a Starbucks to go sit at and work.

    enough to have fun
One thing i've started, is planning routes via google earth pro through the state forests, so you can stay on dirt roads for as much as you can, while seeing cool sites and hitting up hiking / biking trails.

Quoting because this is good to know!

idk if you are lifted or not, swaybar less or not, but I couldn't imagine driving with an RTT on the prinsu. Just transporting my RTT from Lebanon to Philly on my roof rack was sketchy. Now that it's on a bed rack, my truck handles like normal again.

Also, photo was taken in Kingsley PA. Cool little area nothing around it except Elk mountain in the background

FLINTLOCK HUNTERS don't mind being off when it is cold. I think I am going to start taking vacation for this late season instead of rifle. I don't care for rifle any more. I love archery and flintlock though.

I’m off for that very reason. Was hoping to get out with the boy today and yesterday, but Santa delivered a bad cold to me this year. I’m not walking around or sitting all day while coughing, sneezing, and blowing my nose.

I didn't get out much yesterday. I had a migraine the night before, and still didn't fell well at 6 AM. I went out around 10, and saw a couple does. One was way too small, and the other had about a 16" tree covering the vitals. Oh well, get out with the gang this weekend and drive them all over. That's when it gets to be fun anyhow. Good luck out there.

As I have gotten older I have learned the value of proper layering up. Last year was a test when it was -4 with 20 mile per hour winds for 2 weeks straight. We got a lot of deer up though. I think the group ended with 30 deer, 6 bucks. To be fair the elders only hunt flintlock, so they had 3 tags a piece. We have a large group, so it helps to get them moving.
