    Morning everyone :hattip:

Getting annual fire detector and extinguisher test this morning. Health inspection Friday afternoon, but passed our building/fire one earlier last week.

The town wants us to have a food license this year even though we don't serve food. We do however have a commercial kitchen that vendors are free to use and the town wants to be able to hold us to a certain standard. Not a big deal and it's only $40 a year including all inspections and whatnot. Will also allow us to rent the kitchen out during the weekdays to smaller bakers or something, so I need to start looking into possible people to do that. Would be a nice way to pay some of the bills and get more use out of our place, as long as the person is clean and reliable.

Builder called yesterday said to get some stain and come stain all the wood/trim for the interior, so I'll be doing that this morning as well. Happy my builder lets me do a fair bit of the simple work I can handle, and even encourages it really. I have plenty of down time in the winters and me doing the staining and basement insulation will save at least a few thousand dollars. None of it is super hard, just takes time and I'd rather pay them to do things I can't handle...which is a lot

I do not. And I still need to deal with Vet plates from the Jeep. Still paying insurance on it, since apparently, GEICO cant make the plates dormant.

Is the best place for looking for used RTT's in NE craigslist? or are there other markets? I have plans to get a RTT, and a used one sounds like a good option for now.

Is that real ID optional? I know in September when I got my license renewed it was something like that and I think it was optional at that time. I have a passport ID but I don’t like to carry it on me

Well, on another note.. wife has the truck down at a tire shop, getting the wheels road-force balanced. We will see if that helps.

    $26/ea....

Hopefully this does the trick. They said they've been installing a lot of these AT3Ws without much issue, but, getting them right can occasionally be a PITA.

As of right now it is. But, flying will become a chore soon otherwise.

I have other forms of ID as well, including a damn TWIC... BUT....it is what it is.

I think those ideas are only like $10 really not the issue. The issue is like ,everybody else ,taking time out of my day to do these types of things.

Hey all! When I was a kid I went hiking/camping near MT. Washington. I have been out of New England since 85'. Can anyone recommend a good 3-5 day trip for me and my son for after he graduates in June to do the same/similar?

THE TWIC? No. $125 IIRC, fingerprinting, background, blah blah. For secure areas for when I did work in refineries, etc.

As far the Real ID, will be req'd to fly 10/2020.
No big deal for me... Just means now I have to do to the DMV is all.

Well, wife said they were done. All I was told was they said they were able to improve the balance a little, but, nothing out of spec.
    We will see.
She seems to think is feels better.

I may have mine up for sale in a couple of months if you haven't found one by then. I'm going to go with a bigger one or something like a "go fast camper" shell.

That's what I would do. But while you wait, if you do t have a good ground tent set up I'd get one of tbose. They're more affordable and anything you'd use in the GT you'll use later in the RTT.

They're all just means of getting out there and enjoying the country side

It's optional (for now) but after 2020 you will have to jump through hoops to get it and at that point you won't be able to fly even domestically without a real ID unless you want to use a passport, which is many times more expensive to acquire. Basically you will want to get it before 2020 because your current ID is acceptable to get it.

I would recommend the passport, personally. It's convenient to have in case you ever decide to travel internationally (even if it's just a day trip to Canada), only costs like $100, and is good for 10 years.

I've been camping for eons... I have a REI kingdom 4 that I love. It's huge (I can stand in it, set up a cot and table/chair), packs awesomely into a backpack storage bag (REI thought this through... more than enough room in the bag for the tent, the vestibule and the rain fly). It's great.

I just an ruminating on a RTT for ease of travel, space savings, setup and comfort relative to what I'm camping for (quick trips to northern NH for float fishing the Andro/Ct where I camp the night before... float the next day and then head home).

I'm old enough now that I lean towards high quality stuff even if it's expensive (the Treeline RTT offerings are at the top of my list). But to get into a RTT I think a used good quality tent might also scratch this itch.

@fatfurious2 know anyone that may have upgraded this holiday season and would be looking to to sell their current RTT setup? You seem to have a good pulse on the market .

I have an REI Base Camp 4 that gets heavy use during salmon season. I also have a Half Dome 2 that I used to use on motorcycle camping trips. REI tents are really awesome. Before that I had a dome tent from them that I had for 25 years. It only needed replacing when my dog decided she was going to go sleep inside the tent no matter if I was there to open the door or not.
