Yeah the TRD thermostat is what they sold to use for the supercharger. I actually ran one for a while cause I swore I was going to supercharger my truck but never did. It runs really cold with the TRD tstat though. The TRD is 160deg.

Just run the OEM 170deg. That's what I run in my truck.

Left is the TRD 160, middle is the OEM 170, & right is stock 180

Can you pick up the 170 at the dealership? Everytime I get parts it seems like the sales guys just get worse and worse about just typing in part numbers and reading off a computer.

Found these two young lions running around together this morning, looked like they had just got kicked off their mom and took an easy meal eating on a gut pile.

Also found 3 other lion tracks and stomped them out so they can live another day.

Yeah but it's not from a Tacoma though. The parts guys won't be able to look it up & will also tell you it's not for your truck

They are good at that. What do I need to tell them it's for?

Posted above, just order that p/n & don't tell them anything else. I forget what engine it's for, some Corolla I think. Works for the 5VZ though, not the 3RZ.

Is it BLM land? Forest service locking gates would make sense if it’s to access forest service property like fire towers or dangerous areas.

Well yeah they would have the right to lock up that land. BLM land is public land, not National Park Service land.

So just because I don’t have access to a snowmobile I’m fucked out of some of the best country to do what I love?

Mainly just upset because they’ve locked the gates due to a fresh 2” of snow. I think it should be travel at your own risk.
