I guess the Zerk Fitting Fairy came to my house and installed them in the middle of the night. o_O

In actual truth I think that they use what they have available from the supplier. They are the same universal joint and they are interchangeable between Prerunner and 4X4...

My only point in all this is that the only way to know for sure is to get under the truck and look as I stated in my earlier post. It seems that some just want to argue for arguments sake. I have yet to see any proof one way or another.

All I can say for absolute certainty is that My 2012 Prerunner came with grease fittings in the universal joints from the factory.

Anything else is just guess work. When I bought it I assumed it had no grease fittings as it was stated in this forum as a statement of fact. When I changed the oil for the first time I checked and was pleasantly suprised to find I did have grease fittings in the joints.

I'm not saying anybody's right or wrong just saying I looked under the truck today and saw there are none.

    Kind of a bummer lol

That is good. At least now you know. And when they wear out ( which they will ) you can replace them with the ones with zerk fittings.

You're the one that bent on proving someone wrong. The fact your 2012 has them has no bearing on the fact that Toyota stopped installing u joints with Zerks in PreRunners...obviously sometime after the '12 model year. Not sure what year. But I challenge you to find a '15 PR with zerks.....from the factory.

Setup a poll. Prove me wrong. I'm out

I have a 15 4wd sport. No zerks on rear drive shaft. Only on front. Would be keen to see if the replacement (warranty work) has them on OPs truck. I’m sure a greased shaft works better

No early 2nd gen pre-runner 's came with zerks unless by fluke.
