So Im getting my gears done right now. The guy explained to me that you add .12 for each inch of tire you want over stock and then round up to the next size. my stock size was 265/70/16. 30.5"
i have 4.10s and I want 33/34's after. so 3.5" over stock. .12x3.5 =.42. then add that to you stock 4.10+.42=4.52 Or the closest gear which is 4.56 and then round up to the next size for weight additions. So for me I went with 4.88s. This brings it close to stock, maybe a little over it

Well i dont particularly want a fat tire; I like the 235/85/16 and 255/85/16. I drive a lot of highway miles, so I'll probably go with the 235 since they make many more all terrain tire options (and like $100 cheaper per tire). The only all terrain tire in 255 are the Cooper St pros, and they're about $250 a piece. When I get my new wheels, I'll probably get a set of 33x10.5x15 for my stock wheels and use them in snow or wheeling.

That said, most likely I'll go with the 4.30 to retai my highway mileage and RPM's.

Wheels are in! Super please with how these came out. The second pic is just showing the quality of the clearcoat. Has a slight sparkle to it.

What is the BS? Looks like you will need wheel spacers for these

From what i know, they're the same back spacing as my current wheels. Everyone that has run these wheels, nobody ever mentions spacers. Ill test fit the wheels sometime and see for sure.

Out of curiosity ...did you order the gears online or purchase locally?

I ordered the rear diff online, looking at a front diff locally. Everyone online wants like $100-150 for freight shipping for the front diff so I’m trying to find a local front diff I can just go pick up.

Desired tire size ÷ stock tire size = "X"

Stock gear ratio × "X" = gear ratio to return the truck to factory final-drive ratio.

    Much simpler IMO

    The math I learned was:

Old tire size (28) times gear ratio (3.58) divided by new tire size (32). Looks like this-

    28x3.58/32= 3.13

Or in the case of the 4.30...

    28x4.30/32=3.76

Little lower gear than what I currently have, but it’ll give me a little bit more power to climb the mountain I do everyday and help compensate for the heavier wheel/tire combo.

Well just a little update since I suck at taking pictures and recording things I do:

-Replaced my exterior drivers door handle since my original one was cracking and going to break
-Mounted up my hood mount ditch lights.... wasn’t too pleased tbh.
-My wheels are here, they are the 5-star wheels.
-Tires should be here Thursday; will likely mount them the following week.
-Ordered a Rough Country universal light controller to help with wiring and cleanliness
-Ordered 2.5 degree axle shims and black shock boots instead of the skyjacker red
-Had to order different lug nuts for the wheels, which will be here soon.

Well here’s another update for the work I’ve done this past week:

-installed the multiple light controller and switches. Mounted the power box right above the firewall entry point for the rest of the wiring. Fits perfect. For the switches, I made a custom mount to go in the din under the radio, just by bending a piece of scrap aluminum I had. I also cut a piece out of the back of the switch panel so the wires could run straight back instead of out the side. Looks super clean and very pleased. Only thing I dislike is the switches are lit up regardless if the ignition is on or not. I plan to snip the wire leading to the LED's in the switches and tap it into my dash lights, shouldn't take too long.
    -tires mounted onto the wheels
-new 21mm lug nuts for the new wheels (need some center caps for the rear axle)
-probably will mount the wheels to the truck (did this past week for looks and to see how it’s drive on stock gearing) looks a little out of proportion, needs the lift to look right in my opinion.
-Lift may or may not go on this weekend; they're predicting snow and ice this weekend so we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
-Bought a 400 watt power inverter from good ol' harbor freight, looks like it'll fit perfectly in the ashtray. It has two outlets, as well as a USB for charging my phone since my cig port doesn't work and no it isn't the fuse.
