Snowflake on the road symbol

I’ve never had to buy a “bag of sand” with the purpose of keeping it in my truckbed... can these be picked up easily at like Lowe’s or Home Depot or ACE? I’m also assuming sand is cheaper than cat litter?

It's kinda sad when they have to put a idiot light in a truck so "some" people knows it's cold outside.

 

But then if I have to use my bed I have to shovel again.

 

I've never needed extra weight in the back, especially now since I replaced those crappy Kevlar's with some awesome "All Weather" Duratrac's.

 

Unfortunately I got it this way. Bought it second hand. I saw a thread somewhere on here talking about replacing the glass.

 

Every single vehicle in last 15 years I've driven has had some sort of cold weather warning in the dash. I thought it was common practice.

that crap is on about 14 months a year in Canada.

 

There’s no reason to put weight in the bed. The Taco is roughly a 55/45 weight distribution.

You are better off getting a good set of winter tires.

 

They aren't really one-or-the-other measures are they? That 10% weight is still several hundred pounds lighter on the main drive axle, and that's before you account for someone who has a winch/bumper/front skid.

 

You should be 4wd so it’s pretty moot in but winter tires trump weight.
