Of course they failed. Btw you’re not supposed to preload ome coils.

Got it. Headstrong said it was ok though to set it at .85. They seem to be a reputable company that offers a ton of people guidance on these forums.

I hear you, like others have said tho, there’s no way of maintaining that much lift up front without either a drop bracket, or continuing to chew up cv’s. I wouldn’t be happy with that shop tho that’s for sure.

Yeah, I’m not too happy with that shop at the moment. They also had no idea that there was even generations of Bilstein shocks. Just assumed they were all the same, which tells me they aren’t that knowledge about the products they’re selling and installing. I just have no clue who to take it to to perform the work.

A diff drop is vastly different than a drop bracket.

A diff drop tilts it down a couple degrees while a drop bracket includes chopping and rewelding a new crossmember.

Also, if they do good work but are simply fools to how to lift your truck just state very clearly how you want everything to be installed. There is a metric shit ton of knowledge on this site alone and it’s helped me and countless others tremendously. Just read, read, and read some more to gain as much insight as possible to others successes and failures, use that to explain exactly how you’d like your truck to whoever is working on it. Don’t leave it to their “expertise” when you’re the one buying replacement parts.

Well, I don’t want to go that route for sure.

Probabaly get a set of UCAs and move the struts back down to .85 and call it the day lol.

OP you are resilient in your responses. Good for you. I have to say these trucks seem a bit finicky to lift. Everyone has their opinion or EXPERT knowledge on what is best. Usually the solution revolves around multiple parts and plenty of $$$. I have 3 years on a $59 Spacer lift that got me 2.5" of lift. Zero issue's.

Yea, I’ve learned that no matter what you say or ask these days that people are going to respond in a way to make you feel stupid. I just tune it out anymore.

I decided to go with 888 springs, camburg UCAs, and lower my struts to zero. Hopefully that does the trick.

So Toyota replaced my CV axle under warranty. I was shocked, but thankful. I'm posting pictures of my CV angles with this setup. Again, it's the 2nd gen Bilstein 5100's set at the top setting with OME 887 springs. I just ordered Camburg UCA's and OME 888 springs. I'm going to have them lower the shocks down to 0. Do you all think this will get my angles back within tolerance? The drivers side looks a lot worse than the passenger side to me. I'm assuming it's because of the 1/4 spacer to compensate for the lean. Please let me know what you all think without beating my ass up over it. I'm new this lift game. Oh, I did have a diff drop installed already. Thank you.

First pic is the passenger side and the second is the driver's side (which was the one to go).

This is mine, no diff drop. 887's on 2nd gen 5100's first notch.

Damn near perfect. I guess being at the top notch is what’s throwing mine off so much. And I have a diff drop. Crazy.
