Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty

I contacted Troy Dietrich and he emailed back quickly with decent prices, however Toyota is evidently again restricting sales of warranties across state lines so unless you can go to him directly or provide an address in his area it's not a great option.

 

Chill and just ask him about options. It can be done.

 

Yeah after I posted he got back to me again. There are definitely ways to get it done lol

 

Wish i saw this thread before i signed on the truck, i paid 2,875$ for the platinum 6 yr / 100K.

Guess i'll try and cancel and get a refund but its been 44 days. I've seen conflicting info on if you have 30 vs 60 days for cancel/refund.

Yes, I just picked up a 2019 Taco OR too and am looking for the extended warranty!

Would it be good to buy one even if my truck is lifted 2.5 inches? Seems like dealers always blame the lift for any problems.

6 yr / 125000, zero deductible platinum for my 19 TRD OR 4WD DCSB, $1050 from my dealer here in AZ.

 

Thank you both. Sounds like I’m getting a pretty reasonable deal. Called around different places the majority of the day yesterday and was being quoted SEVERAL hundred dollars more. I think for the short amount of time I have (due to my own procrastination) $1,600 for 10 yr 125,000 $0 deductible is pretty good. I’ll eat the possible $300 discount for waiting so long and not giving myself more time to shop.

 

All the talk about dealers trying to weasel out of honoring claims has convinced me pass on an extended warranty. Not enough gubmint regulation of the industry to keep innocent people from getting screwed.
