Oh no. I read a bazillion reviews before I bought my orange one from home dumpo. I was only looking at portable job site models but there were problems with accuracy and quality with the HF version. But that was a few years ago, maybe something has changed since then?

Yeah, I'm on the fence. I may go with the Lowes comparable for an extra 150. it comes with the stand and a 30inch right rip capacity. Though either way I may end up building a table for it.

There seem to be numerous YouTube reviews for about everything HF sells and they have their own reviews at the HF website which in my experience are mostly accurate.

I have had a dozen table saws through the years. DeWalt all the way these days. Shop Craig's list. I once had a cheep portable Craftsman that I considered so dangerous I took a sledge hammer to it so no one else could ever use it.

    Tool? Dunno....

but the HF magnesium fire starters are great. I've got one stashed just about everywhere. Stick it in a baggie with a wad of dryer lint and you have a fire wherever you want one.

Did you use the stock blade? I heard it runs like a MFer with a Lennox blade.

I have the Kobalt (Lowes) table saw. Been running great for about 5 years now. Use if for wood an aluminum. No regrets.

Have a link? I have to cut flat bar aluminum and a traditional band saw will not work since the pieces are longer than will fit in the bandsaw. But this unit will work since the blade is orientated in the opposite direction.

I assume you are talking about the table that holds the portable band saw, not the band saw itself? Time to put the internet to good use. If it has been fabricated before someone has put instructions and/or a video about it on the web.
