Nice! Brought me one too! One small step closer to "Offroad Ready". A satisfying step isn't it? I still have a long , long way to go though. Like the red.

I would put some loc-tite on the threads and a locking pin on my receiver. Those are so easy for someone to steal.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!

Nice, clean install (in the end). What seat heaters did you use?

I've got a pair of Wet Okole covers w/ heaters that don't come with dash switches, so I'm going to have to do something custom (eventually).

    Looks good.

Right now the paint probably has it stuck tight enough but use it once and that pin can get sneaky and unscrew itself. Instead of loctite on the threads I run a wire* through the hole on the pin then the shackle just to keep it from unscrewing itself out and falling off. Then if you need to remove the shackle to run a strap or whatever all you have to do is snip the wire.

I don't worry about a locking pin since I don't have it mounted when mall-crawling. It stays in a bag with other recovery gear behind the back seat. I pull it out and mount it when I hit the trail or, if I forget, it gets pulled out when I need it.

    * HomeDepot or Lowes, concrete section, black tie wire in a roll. In the kit bag with a few other odds and ends. Has come in handy for on the trail repairs more than once (like the time the cable from shifter to trans on the Jeep broke at one of the plastic connectors)

It won't take long. I felt the same way, and now I can't believe how bad they were before.
