    Put the Outboard Bike Mount back on today to test fit with the Softopper. Not gonna leave it on but next year I will need to put now felt under the Softopper rails to make it fit better. Not sure how I like it so I will probably put it up for sale again since I could not get anyone to take on fabricating simmering like it.

    Looking good Rick. I could easily have replicated the design. I have a company I work with on grill components that will laser cut anything I want. Bending them up after they are cut is also pretty simple with a press brake. I just never took the time.
    If you’d like to make a paper template I can ask them about the cost?
    Honestly never looked into it because I had this one I sold back to you. :oops:

    Having just scratched my truck and broken a tail light using my Dakine tailgate pad I will say this-I am a HS shop teacher. I have a shop full of HS begging for welding and metal projects. This is going to the top of my list as I want one that will fit under my tonneau... So, stay tuned! Stainless anyone? Aluminum? Lots of options...

    Probably a stupid question, but what is it like to use your mirrors with the bikes installed? I want to be able to carry 2 bikes in a similar fashion. I have a rack and not a cap like you. So I assume I will end up using my rear view instead of my door mirrors. Or can you still see past the bikes using the door mirrors?
