Edit, also added a waterport in the back

@gman36, are those two tracks from the Front Runner Roof Rack? I like your solution for holding the Wolf Packs in place.

@gman36 Do you have info on your drawer setup? Is that all frontrunner gear?

That's almost exactly what I'm hoping to build, bike fork mount and all.

They are front runner cargo tracks, I wanted L-track, but I got a deal through a friend. L-track is nice cause it’s so widely used.

Ahhh, found it! Do you find the bikes are stable without a "tray" for the rear tire?

platform-tent-open-super-closeup-768x495.jpg ok-dates-bad-dates2-768x512.jpg What is the general opinion on the side door option? It is the moment of truth for me, because I just got my color samples and owe Torrey (Customer Service Concierge) my color and option selection.

For those of you that have a GFC, would you like to be able to enter on the side? Perhaps if the bed was filled and you didn't want to unload it.

Has anyone gotten the side door on their build, or purchased the RTT option? Have you found any disadvantages? Do you like it? I think someone was mentioning that it is more difficult to close. Also, that it doesn't increase ventilation.

Thanks for any opinions you might have, if the price ($350) was ignored.

I don’t have mine yet but I went with the option because I tend to have a bed full of gear and part of the reason I got the GFC was so I don’t have to unload it whether it be so local fauna (animal or human) doesnt mess with my stuff or I’m just tired/lazy and want to go to bed. So I pop on the ladder and climb on in.

I’m probably going to get it but the main reason I want it is so I can open it up for a better view out of the camper.

I don’t have the door since it was not an option at the time. That said, I would not get it today. There is a huge rear door if you don’t want to exit below, why have a little side door next to it. I think the extra fabric may make it tougher to close. Just another opinion.

Nice cold winter day. The tent material is definitely stiff in the cold and the shocks don't just pop the top as easily with a little push like usual. I wish I would've gotten a picture of the sunset on the way back with the mountain range silhouetted but there wasn't a good place to stop. The sun rises and sets in the south right now so on clear days it's pretty nice.

I have mine and it was built right before the side window became a real option. I would have got it. I would have loved the ability to have a 270 degree awning wrap around the driver side with a ladder out the passenger. That way I could lock the dogs up underneath and not have to worry about getting in and out from below or a ladder out the back nullifying an awning.

I don’t like dealing with removing a pad every time I want to get down, and there’s really no standing room unless I pile all the pads up. The drifter has way more standing room. The white roof also bugs me because light shines through so easily. I may wrap the inside of it and see how that helps.

I can see why people might not like the moving of panels to get down or the light through the roof. The moving/stacking of panels to open up space and the space available afterwards is identical between the two campers though.

The only thing I’ll add to the comment above is that perspective of camera angle can be everything. I took the photo of Blakes interior of the Drifter standing inside the camper rather than on the tailgate looking in. Not playing sides just pointing that out for others to factor in. At the end of the day a 5ft bed is a 5ft bed haha.
