So I'm installing Fox 2.5 shocks and the sleeves on the shock wouldn't fit
    20181228_095810.jpg
So I used a piece of wood and a rubber hammer to get it in.

And now even though the thing looks perfectly aligned at both ends, I can't get the bolt through.

I can stick it in this far from the front side (wrong direction for the bolt)
    20181228_103501.jpg

Here's what the front end looks like - it looks like there's a ring or something inside.

    Here's the backside

Any ideas on what I need to do to get the bolt in? I've tried jacking the suspension up and down and hammering it softly around with a rubber hammer to move the sleeve around to line it up.

Edit: See posts above and below me, that's a cam bolt. You have the wrong bolt there. Your spacers may be ok. Original post below...

I had the same exact issue. This thread is relevant: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/difficulty-with-fox-install.567099/

You were probably sent the wrong spacer. I installed the shocks months after they arrived, so I didn't bother contacting the vendor. If I were you, I'd contact the vendor and have them send the right spacer.

That's it...the passenger side has the right sizes, but the driver side has the wrong spacer on just one side. I'll call Accutune...I really don't want to re-install the stock shock again. Sigh.

They didn't adjust the shocks how I asked and now they sent me the wrong spacer. I'm not planning on using Accutune again :/.

I might try to drill it out while I wait. I'll go buy a 9/16 titanium drill bit. I'd have to wait to get a cobalt one.

Is this the right length of hose for the res? I'd have to use a pretty strong force to put it onto the holder.

The Hose takes some force to mount. helps a bit if you twist the fittings to point outward.

Do you have the 2.5 rears?

Mine was like this. I just bent the bracket very slightly to get it in, then once I torqued it to spec, it pulled the bracket back to normal.

    30,800 miles, no problems.

Thanks guys, got everything in on both sides except for the spacer on one. I just didn't tighten that bolt yet.

Ryan ( @*TRD* ) from Accutune got back to me even though they are closed and he told me that they don't touch those spacers. They come like that from Fox. So he got a hold of Fox for me and Fox called and will try to get the spacer out today. If not, the Fox guy said Ryan will open another box and pull the part out and send it.

He also explained that they don't normally adjust preloads since they will always need to be adjusted for each vehicle to get the right height. He apologized if I had been misled.

He was very professional in the correspondence and I feel a lot better in dealing with them.

Hopefully I won't have my truck on jacks for too many days.

Edit: Just got a notification from UPS that I'm getting a delivery from Fox Factory tomorrow...that's fast!
