40 car pile up on route 89 north spilling into my southbound lane!! Multiple tractor trailers... highway is closed and will be for a WHILE. Worst one I have ever seen in my lifetime. Hope nobody got too hurt but it looked BAD

Used a plasma cutter free hand for the first time yesterday...wow straight lines are hard! But after a couple pieces I got the hang of it.

Belchertown only had rain but it stayed in the low 30s so ice doesn’t surprise me too much.

Well it appears 163k has finally taken a toll on my driverside cv axle - going to have to replace it sometime this weekend. Making a nice ticking sound....

What’s up guys. I need some advice and opinions. I have a 17 Tacoma. And after breaking the front plastic bumper twice, I need an upgrade. My truck is not lifted yet and I’m looking for a metal bumper. I’m just trying to choose if I need a full metal bumper or the slim bumper that goes in the middle.

I do a lot of my driving in city traffic so I don’t know if I necessarily want a full bumper but I like how it protects the sides also. But then again I like the slimline bumper because it doesn’t weigh as much and it still protects the front but obviously doesn’t protect the sides of the bumper. But since I do mostly city driving, I think the swim I am bumper might be best .

What are you guys think? It’s either probably going to be 1,200 to 1,350 full bumper powder coated or 750-850 slim line bumper powder coated. That’s a good difference in price. What are your opinions? Thanks guys

If you don't have suspension work you'll want to do something up front to compensate for a full sized front bumper. It'll definitely drop the front with all that added weight. As for a slimline front bumper I'm not sure how much those weigh.

@aidenhardcore also the corners are still vulnerable on the Slimline style bumpers . Food for thought

I do not have a suspension lift yet. I know with the fall bumper it’s going to sag. Are slimline bumper is between 70 and 84 pounds. Which isn’t too too bad. i full bumper I’m looking at is 115 pounds

They definitely are. That’s why I like the thought of having a full bumper that covers the sides. But then again it’s more heavy and I do a lot of sitting in traffic and deliveries so I know the added weight is going to be felt on the truck

You could compensate by going with some bilstiens 5100 and a adjusting the clips or springs.

I could. But I just found out eBay is having a 15% off coupon till 6 tonight on everything haha. And they have the slim line bumper that I want and I can get 100 bucks off so I’m going that route. Yes it’s not a full bumper but it will do. 100 bucks off and free shipping isn’t bad haha

This doesn't really alleviate the cracking of the bumpers... unless you're not cracking the sides of it and only the front. Just my two cents...

It’s mostly the front part of the plastic bumper that usually breaks. That black piece usually always comes off and destroys the front of the bumper .
I’m not saying a smaller front bumper is going to work 100 percent but it helps.
If my truck was a dedicated off road rig then I would probably get a full bumper. But like I said I do delivers 24/7 in my truck in city Boston traffic so I feel like a big full bumper is going to kill my mpg. Not that it 100% matters but I’m really not planning on putting a lift on until maybe the summer time or so.
