So we replaced our Cooper AT3's that were getting a bit long in tooth. They had about 1/3rd of tread left and the sidewalls looked like new (36k or so miles). However the AT3's had become howlers on the road and traction in the wet/snow had became pretty sketchy at best.
Decided to give the Falken Wildpeak AT3W's a go. 265/65/17 (116) on stock wheels.
So far so good.... quite on the road especially for a somewhat agressive AT tire and track very well. They have been outstanding through muddy terrain and on snow covered fire roads. We have not experienced any differance in fuel mileage over the Coopers. Even though Wildpeaks are rated "extra load" (116) they ride much softer on the pavement over the Coopers.

I put the same tires 265/75/16 on my TRD OR. They have been performing amazing up here in Alaska in the snow vs the stock ones. Don't have to have 4wd on all the time now in the city.

Also $120 a tire on Amazon prime.
    Can't beat that.

AT3W's are under rated. I would chose them over K02s any day.

Oh ya it happened and none too soon.... since the install; we've had snow, ice, mud, flooded roads and recently black ice. Very impressive sneakers to date.20181221_084228.jpg

Yup sure did... it was a toss up between the two. We were very pleased with our Cooper AT3's and weren't hesitant with buying the the brand again. However the reviews on their new AT3 4's were very limited and almost none out there relative to snow experiences. Many more reviews were available for the Wildpeaks especially handling in the snow. The plan is to run the Wildpeaks late September athrough the middle of April and then swtch over to the Bridgestone Duelers H/T that were original to the truck. The Bridgestones have very little miles on them and are shod on 4Runner take-off wheels. May through August is all highway for us so that should extend the life Wildpeaks for a very long time.
To date from the install before Thanksgiving; Mother Nature has thrown heavy rains, snow, mud, black ice and dry roads. The Wildpeaks have been awesome in all those conditions.

Just put a set of wildpeak 265/70/17 on Sema rims. What air pressure has everybody settled on. I’m running 30psi cold right now.

I'm 14 months in with a set of 265/65/17. I'd agree with all of the other positive comments above. But, I do have a slight wobble/shake in the wheel, even after MANY balance attempts. It's not so bad, so I'm pretty satisfied overall.

No problems so far. Pickup 5th tire yesterday and it balanced first try. I do wish the kids at discount tire would be trained on the colored dot system on the tires then they would not have to use so much weight to balance.

man I don't even know. they tell me the front end is fine, ive had it aligned. It all started as soon as I installed new tires and wheels. dealt with it for 20k miles or so. Had roughly 60K when tires were installed. changed tires, still had it. went back to stock wheels, still have it. its wobble in the steering wheel above 55. almost comes and goes sometimes. And at times get a lot of shake in the seats too. nobody seems to have a clue. also threw on my boss's off road wheels with toyo open country E rated tires, and had no recognizable shake.

I just put on a set 255/80/17 a couple of weeks ago no balance issues or any wobbling. We just had a pretty massive snow storm (for NM) and the traction was impressive.

Hey did you ever have any luck solving this? I have 265/75r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws on factory alloys. I have the exact same issues. It’s really tough to pin down what is going on exactly, I’ve been to firestone twice (2nd time made it worse), road force at a body shop said I was at 21 pounds, and road force at the dealer said the same. Dealer blames the Falkens. I asked them why they are putting them on the 2020 RAV4 TRD Off Road and he didn’t know what I was talking about. My truck only has 34k miles and it shakes worse than my old ‘04 sometimes.
