I think I've still got a bunch of 10lbers laying around you can have I know not the big boy but tired if if having so many in the garage need to clear some space.

 

Congrats man!!! Purchase the lifetime sportsman license with saltwater before they are 18 months I think that's the age and it's super cheap like 300 bucks or something like that.

 

We lease our 60# tank from Amerigas. It only runs our stove/range and we get it filled once a year. I believe it costs around $60/yr including gas and tank rental. That includes them coming onsite to fill it. Tank was getting a little rusty last year so they came and replaced it ... no extra charge. I'd go that way if I were you.

 

I didn't know they rented tanks, price isn't bad either. It's only going to be for the gas insert which we may only run a month or 2. I kinda wonder if a grill tank will run it for that long.

 

Sorry...does NOT include gas fill up...that's just rental .. .still worth every penny. think fillup costs ~$180 or so for 60#

 

I'd give a grill tank a shot before worrying about getting a biggun

At one point I had like 6-8 not sure how many I have nowadays, use to pick them up at estate auctions for like 5 bucks and then just trade them in at the blue rhino exchanges. If I have enough I'll put one aside for you as well.

 

Normal Grill tanks? Those are 20lb. Which I'm thinking that'll be fine for this fireplace.

But isn't the overlander thing to use one of those really skinny ones and put it on a swing out (the 5lbers, probably not right on that size either)

I used them for my old grill, glamping, and big fryer.

Yea sure, I'll trade it in at the store for a filled one and see how long that runs it.

except the trade ins are now filled to 15lb (3.6gal) because nobody pays attention and they pay the $22 and go (caring not that they just paid $6.12 a gallon when it’s $3.09 @ Tractor Supply)

only way you’re gonna get 20lb (4.7gal) is havin g filled in person in front of you, even that could be suspect. a fill tech that doesn’t care will to the OPD shut off, which is t the smartest, but you get a full fill (but on a hot day it will vent more than likely)
