I think it would be really cool if everyone would stop asking Mat questions while he's trying to get this out. It isn't helping you or anyone else...

So I just finished the return trip, dallas back to Phoenix and for once that I owned the truck I actually preferred to leave it in D instead of s mode and dicking with the gears myself. You guys are gonna LOVE 1.05
And I was fully loaded in the bed and prinsu roof rack. Probably 700ish lbs. Averaged 13mpg

Just read the last blog post regarding 1.05. The maps look really nice. It's amazing Toyota seemingly wasted so much space on useless data. I imagine they had a reason for it (likely emissions), but damn.

I would imagine these new tables will dramatically improve the bump/surge when cam timing abruptly changes like we have had up until this point. Anyone with the 6mt and 1.05 care to comment?

There are a couple of us out here with the 1.05 test tune that was released before Mat re wrote the tables completely. Smooth predictable power through the entire rpm range, mpgs seemed to remain about the same but this was also about the time winter gas was being phased in. Can't wait to see what the official 1.05 brings to the table now that the tables have bee expanded.

Actually those questions lead to improved tunes. If you go back and read all 1700 pages like another user suggested :)rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:) you’ll see some of the ideas came from questions. See gear lock.

He can ignore pages of questions and only respond to good ones.

I'm a developer, and people asking for new features or asking questions answered hundreds of times already are not helpful while you are doing the final product push. It's just a distraction from getting it done.

Mat has made it clear he is trying to get 1.05 out the door, like right now. People asking the same questions again and again is probably very frustrating.

(and yes, I've read all the posts)

Been here since day one. Cant believe how much work Matt has put into this. Most would've given up or stopped a long time ago and said "Good enough". One dedicated professional :hattip:

I think it’s been suggested a few times to just read Mat’s posts. Best way to get info on the devolpment of tune from the beginning, data, expectations, instructions for install, options for customs tunes after base 1.05, etc.

Very few of us realistically have time to review every post and we run the possibility of getting info wrong as many of us obviously do on here. Although it definitely can be an entertaining read...

I can imagine Mat is getting tired of the same question hitting his inbox from Tacomaworld when the answer is in his original post. Anyone that’s has a toddler that asks the same question over and over and over knows the feeling.

Whoever has 4.30 gears and 33s and is on 1.05 for Auto trans PM me please. I want to do some comparing with some things I am experiencing with 1.05 on 4.88s and 33s.
