The top hose fits fine you need to get a different one-Gates 22120, I bought 3 gives me a spare and one to cut too short
You do need to cut out for the bottom hose on the shroud as well. I just cut the bottom off completely, may have to get another shroud and just cut out with the hole saw for the bottom hose if I head down to the warm country.....behold!

This 4Runner radiator definitely will not work with the 96-2000 Tacoma hood. Hood hits the radiator cap section.

The newer Tacoma hood from 2000-2004 it might work if you cut a notch
out of the hood support for the radiator cap or use a big hammer to bend the hood support.
The overall size will work but the radiator cap Location is the problem. It’s alots taller, probably would need a different skid plate depending on what u have too because it will hang lower too, It’s actually a better radiator because it’s
a lot tall overall size.. If I could have figured a way to make this one fit I would
    have gone this route.
If you had the top radiator tank section trimmed down and or had the radiator cap section moved to a spot where the hood didn’t hit, it just might fit or a low profile
radiator cap tube section might work too.

Can someone with the champion 3 row radiator measure the gap between fan blade and radiator core?

Spacing between the fan and core is just shy of 2” on mine- it is the model with a 20” tall core.

I’m pretty sure they all come with trans coolers, might even have the fittings-mine did, and the fittings I seem to recall.....

    @1997tacomav6

Does anyone know if there is another bottom hose option that would fit better since the gates hose(part number 22120) is about an 1/8 inch too small in

diameter? I thought someone mentioned a hose from an 85 toyota? Don't recall the part number.

Don’t remember but if you use silicone spray for Lubrication on the hose the gates does work just fine

WTF, Better call the company ASAP
I would say it’s a recall thing now,
Better have the buyer inspect the radiator before it’s shipped

Not sure but I already contacted them. I purchased it through eBay from Champion using my AMEX so I’m not worry about getting my money back. I would like to get a correct replacement and not have to hassle with this though.
