Tried to replace both axels and replace the oil pan seal at the Dealer. The $250 quote on the oil pan was too good to pass up for 6-7 hours of labor. The inner boot is sliced on my pass side. After they mis quoted the axel part no as 43430-04010 non ADD axels. Thought for sure that was wrong since I don’t have manual locking hubs. The drivers side axel has a line through the part no on the axel. Passenger had it intact. 43430-04020.

To be continued-Toyota is out of stock until the end of January.

They're out of stock on regular CV axles? Weird...I'd just go get some from elsewhere and have them put those in for less $$

    Frank's are about 3" haha

I would but I’m stuck on OEM forever or as much as possible. Plus the dealer matches internet prices since I purchase parts frequently.

When I replaced my ball joints and tie rods I used MOOG thinking they were stronger than OEM. They might be but post-research says Toyota’s are better quality. Also the zerk fittings are a little bit of a PITA to remember to keep up with.

I daresay your research is right but I don't want to start another ball joint debate in this thread lol. Just be sure to keep an eye on them and check them for play regularly. If your truck sees mostly just street use it should be fine on Moogs with regular checkups. If you wheel a lot I would look into switching back to OEM ones and keep the others on hand for trail spares

I'm still of the opinion that 5.29s are just too low. Though, even @Fernando said he wishes he went to 5.29s so maybe. Don't plan on regearing until probably around Fall 2019 so I have time to think about it.

@Fernando you should let me drive your truck with the 4.88s and get some 5.29s and let me drive it again :stirthepot:

    You're both right.

Ben - it's fine for tires to stick way out, on someone else's truck. I mean, it's amusing I think.

You'll definitely want 5.29's with 35's. Some with 33's and 4.88's (on AT's) even wish they went to 5.29.

I'll shoot ya a text next time I'm Sac bound. Might be Sac bound in February. :spy:

5.29s for 33s? Seems a tad overkill. I could probably understand it if these are people with the 4 cylinder engine, but the v6?
