Logic says I should sell the 1st gen. We'll see how that goes.

 

Sell the first gen and don't look back. The first gen is a great truck, but with how old they are they have the I live in my mom's basement look.

Sarcasm aside. I sold my first gen because I was over the manual trans and the world has changed since that truck came out. I now have to worry about an Ashley or a Hunter crashing into me because they had to get a Facebook post in via their phone

 

Yeah. The only thing that will get me to sell it is the instant cash for new mods. We'll see. I'm guessing it's not leaving

You can put it in "s" mode and pretend...

 

I haven't found that switch yet. I thought I was turning on fogs, and it was my auto-brights button. Gray road yacht with a lot of buttons. And Kevlar side walls!!!!

 

S mode is on the shifter, put it in drive then slide it to the left. That will limit it to not go above 4th gear. Push down/pull back once it goes to 3, push down again and it goes to 2 etc. Pushing it forward will increase the gear.

But seriously, just get a manual. You'll smile more.

I enjoy actively "driving" my vehicle. I'm an MT fanboy for sure. We'll see how I adjust to owning an AT

I have owned 9 cars/ trucks..... only 4 have been automatic. I got tired of pushing the clutch every 100 yards at least here. Never got above 3rd gear and a extra item to replace when the clutch burns out. Still have a manual Nissan in the driveway.
I like my MT's, but prefer them for towing, or in sports cars.

 

If I was going to import anything i would got down to Mexico and buy a hilux.

Keep the first gen. People keep trying to buy mine, in the end, I’m always glad I kept it.

 

That's going to last more than 4 hours!

 

I still regret selling my 1st gen. Although the only reason I did was because it wasn’t 4wd. I feel it was justified, but could have built it 10 times better and done a 4wd conversion with all the money I have into my 3rd gen now.
