If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I have a set Ritter Grips in M390 and they are perfect EDC blades. I added the black canvas micarta scales.

It is an excellent steel; I compare it to a slightly more-durable S35VN, but not (quite) as tough/durable as Delta 3V. It can be tough to sharpen, but it does hold a nice edge!

The Bradford Guardian 4.5 CPM 3V Matte Black 3D Micarta Scales
    IMG_20181228_163505.jpg

Here it is compared to the original Guardian 4 N690 with Camo 3D Micarta Scales.
    IMG_20181228_164249.jpg

And compared to the Survive! Knives GSO 4.1 (original spec) CPM 3V with Natural Micarta Scales.
    IMG_20181228_163553.jpg

After owning a few knives with a forward choil like the original Guardian 4, I have decided I really dont like them. In outdoor use I just don't like having my hand that close to the blade edge. (Murphy's Law is a real thing!) That's why I am really liking the new 4.5. And the ergonomics of the handle are awesome! It locks into your hand it seems.

It is sexy! I will be making a very short video about it soon. I have a habit of convexing my blades. It's a thing. This knife is VERY much my sort of blade! I will give it my treatment, and post yet again! Love this knife!

Uneducated in real knifes, know the names, but that's it. Looking for a utility knife for work and play. Like the size and shape of the Spyderco Native Salt series, I'm a plumber by trade, and deal with water and wet things here in Florida. I'll need to sharpen this knife, obviously, looking at the plain blade option, regular wet stone action? Be nice, I don't know. Looking for any recommendations for some obvious knife enthusiasts, what would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

Can’t go wrong with Spyderco. They make some great knives. As for sharpening, are you good at using a wet stone? If not, or if you just want to make your life a lot easier, check out the Spyderco Sharpmaker. I am terrible at sharpening knives, and this thing makes it a breeze. Worth every penny in my opinion.
