I know. That's good enough for me. I think there is a winter road to Fort Severn which is on Hudson Bay but you have to go through Manitoba.

I have seen enough pictures of vans on the ice road to Moosenee to know its more of a long drive than anything fun.

If a 2wd van can do it, meh is it a challenge? :cookiemonster:

Even from where I am in North Bay, that is still a long drive.

Now if its to say 'iv done all the ice roads in north america' now that is something else :argue:

No big winter travels, I just got from big trip!
There is something cooking for next round of 2019 solo travels... Need to build up vehicle first - install bumper, winch, storage, comms and other things.

:spy: Things are cooking, will be announced soon :stirthepot:

Everyone has different reasons for doing something like this. I think it would be cool to go to a place that only has vehicle access 2 months a year. And that 99.9 percent of people in Ontario never see. If you want to make it harder go during a snowstorm or just before the ice breaks up. Or do it on a motorcycle in winter, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovwIx-tVV8A .

Who exactly wants to camp in -30C?

Moosonee is not warm. Ice road for a reason.

Is anyone on this forum setup to camp in those extreme's? Or want to? I doubt it!

Already did my 2019 renewal, but would definitely be interested for subsequent years.

I think next year around October would be a better time to do the membership.

Looking at the numbers we have atleast 10 people interested. The registration of the group is a $100 “fee” but every individual group membership would be $25. So half. However I am thinking we would just divide up the initial group fee. So $35 ($100/10 people). Obviously the more people the cheaper it gets.

My apologizes good sir. Your are on the list. Also I think @Manfred must have sent my gift to your place to keep it a big secret.

And with more people it could be more. Additionally I don’t know if the membership fee is a one time deal or yearly. Between my self, @Norilsk and @Joe23 we have been looking into this.

I've been interested in getting a membership (would be a first time member) - but only learned about OF4WD bout half way through the year - so thought there wouldn't be much of a point to get it that late in the year

why would this be the case be best to get it in October?
