My dash wires would fry and smoke every once in awhile, push button 4wd worked every once in awhile. For every squeak I fixed a rattle would start somewhere else. Cheap Blazer is what it was. I literally fabricated brake lines to bypass ABS because my braking was so bad.

Oh my 30 some thousand! Yeah mine was fine mechanically until 36,300. That's when a caliper locked up. Been all down hill from there. Get back to me when you put another 50 or 75,000 miles on it.

So let me get this straight...
You bought a truck with a chrome package but you hate Chrome so you're here to complain?

As far as a GM full-size truck, nothing wrong with them. They have occasional problems just like the Tacoma. Otherwise, plenty of Z71s with 300k on the clock.

While I mostly agree with your statement, it also boils down to other things than the engine. Like when Fiat Chrysler outsources everything else on their RAM trucks to the lowest third world country. Annoying piss ant things like the hood release breaking in the first month, the door window switches suddenly crapping out, the exterior door handles that disconnect internally.

This is an acceptable reason to not like GM.

As far as the plant closures, they are likely in need of reorganizing to be competitive.... They are also just dumping the cars which don't sell.

Now, when they start selling us the Chinese made cars, we can really bitch.

We'll it's a Dodge. GM is generally better than that.

I did feel the Taco was better put together than the Colorado and was part of the reason I bought it.

We paid them. Myself at least. Just like my polluted river I grew up in. Just got another property tax hike to pay to clean it not again, but finally this time after this next tax increase. This has been going on for decades...
