Yeah cannondale, gt and schwinn are all one big company now, but keeping each line it’s own. Cannondale seems to be the trail and enduro /Xc, Schwinn the family bikes and gt the enduro, DH, and Dj scene. I have a few friends that work there and I’m super impressed with everything that’s beeen coming oht

let me tell you a story of how whistler took my knee.

i lived in portland at the time and spent a lot of summer time riding whistler. we were on day four of some long hard days. 2 buddies had just shown up and were fresh. we were on freight train just after the container drop, i was chasing down the two friends. just before FT crosses over no duff or duffman there’s a few long small jumps. on the last i landed a little short at full speed and hit the knuckle of the next pretty hard and blew my right hand off the bar at mach 10. i was headed straight for the trees and bridge of no duff. i grabbed a handful of left brake hoping to throw it all away and ragdoll rather than sonny bono it. didn’t work out. i hit the bridge like a f250. my right leg hit the upright post on the inside of my knee. wrapping my leg around the post. i flipped over the bridge and went down the 15 foot cliff to the trail below. i came to rest on my right side. first thing i did was try to wiggle my toes and fingers. all good there. i tried rolling over and boom. nuclear bomb of pain. riders came up and i told them i came from freight train and think i broke my leg. they got bike patrol to get me to the hospital. while bracing my, my knee cap was on the side of my leg. at the hospital doctor told me i tore my mcl, acl, lcl, ruptured my meniscus, spinal tubal avulsion, dislocated patella and a massive subdermal hematoma. they shot me full of demerol, braced me and sent me on my way. my buddy needed to get my bike and our stuff. i said i’d go on crutches from the doc to fitzsimmons lift to tell our other friends what happened and we were leaving.

on the way the brace felt really stable and the drugs were working. i got to fitz. saw our friends and took a step down the 6” step leading with the shit leg off crutches. the weight and lack of any and all knee ligaments and my leg slowly bent 90 degrees to the right. i flipped over and landed seated with my right leg bent a hard 90 the wrong way. my buddy almost puked.

that’s my whistler war story. scene of the crime. started up here ended up at the bottom.

Holy shit man, that's a serious war story. Shit goes so wrong so quickly on bikes. Momentary bobbles = destruction.

    How's your knee now?

Sweet project. Always been a fan of those cars, super fun to drive.

It's a love/hate thing, LOL! I've had a few over the years and love driving them, but it's always such a money pit (and my interests have shifted to other ridiculous hobbies) that it's hard to get back to. My friends call it the "2-year-240" because it's been sitting for so long :(.

HKS step 2 cams, 2871r, Nismo 740cc injectors and some other little bits (hint: the NOS isn't working... dunno why, LOL)... it'll be fun when I get back around to cleanup and body work!
    upload_2018-12-29_11-4-14.jpg

Man, I just freak out if I can't comfortably walk around the cars freely. Been working on more efficient storage/organization around the garage to be able to operate. My main thing is "Can I do 'X' without having to move cars around and waste time on things other than the project?". When that answer is no, things need to change... like... right the hell now. Speaking of storage, I made a little "bike nook" for our bikes!

Yea I'm deffinitly screwed by those standards... But in my defense I've been doing a massive remodel in the two years I've owned my house. The other problem is I think i have to many toys... (first world problems). That being said I do want a garage that's super clean and work ready, but sadly that will be the last project of my house...
Cleanest I've ever had my garage:

Oh man... I know how it gets during bigger projects, so no judgment there! Also, the inner me is saying "it looks like there might be *ways* to design something to use the rafter space"! I'm a nutbag when it comes to space saving (to a ridiculous point... according to some of my friends). Example, my workbench/bike stand area folds away to clear up floor space.

As it sits now (while converting my wife's bike to 1x11)... disaster!

Nice! That thing'll be a hooligan when it's done. AND you've got a WRX (or STi?) too? My kind of garage...

I've had my fair share of fun cars, but these two were my favorite. STi Spec-C swapped Forester, and 06 STi with waaaayyy too much $$ into it. Super fun track toys.

That's why my wifey's much happier with my bike addiction, much cheaper.

**Sorry all for the non-bike content**
