My neighbor brought over some fresh baked muffins for me and a new toy for the Repo pup along with a mason jar of large Milk bones. I inhaled the muffins with some coffee. Didn't think the Milk Bones went with coffee too good.
Hope everyone is having a good Christmas.

    Afternoon all:
Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse! :( Yesterday my buddy saw a tail, today a buck trotted past me at about 100 yds, little far for me to shoot with the flintlock but I couldn't tell if it was legal, then driving out I spotted a deer standing just off of a chop in the woods, we stopped and were looking at another buck, saw wide Y's but couldn't tell if it had brow tines, then it bedded down and was looking at us, still couldn't tell if it had brow tines. :annoyed:
Of course my buddy usually has binoculars with him, but not when we need them!

    Afternoon all:
:frusty: :annoyed: It just got worse!
Saw a broken off small pine that a buck broke off, thought that's a nice buck that did that. Took about 10 steps and there's a legal buck looking at me, cocked the FL, got the sights on him and was just ready to squeeze the trigger when he took off into thick stuff. Still standing there and about 5-10 min. later I see a couple of deer coming off to my left, a doe stops, I shoot and miss, and she just stood there. My buddy came walking up to me as I was reloading, he probably put the deer out, and another doe came through and was standing close to where I had seen the buck and he missed it! OK, we both get loaded, he goes down to check for blood, I go over to check where I shot, and there stands another doe looking at me, just as I brought the FL up she started running, I took a shot at her since I had already fired the FL, but didn't connect.
YOU CAN"T MAKE THIS S*** UP, we are not having a good year at all!!!!!!!!!!
