So in essence, it’s always going to be a gamble? Well stated by the way.

I see your point of view, look at it different, but respect and appreciate it nonetheless. Good to see ole Captain Call is part of a group here. From my recollection, he wasn’t much for company.

I have seen Headstrong Offroad pop up in a few threads now with nothing but good things to say. I’ll definitely look into them. I’m pretty sure I also saw them in a thread where someone was talking about the 888 springs.

Yes. The difference between them is definitely noticeable. Ride stayed the same gave me another 1-1.25" of lift over the 885's.

I sent them an email last night. They are gone until January, so I’m sure I’ll hear back sometime in mid January. Not being in a rush helps.

Definitely does. If you need another place let me know. There is a shop in New Jersey that I know the guys at and they are direct dealers for Arb/Ome also. Prices are usually competitive and they know what they are doing.

I appreciate it! I’m looking forward to building this truck up. It helps that I don’t have unrealistic build goals like I once did.

Depreciating Asset would be the correct term to describe most vehicles. Hacking them up and extensive modding only aid in the depreciation for a multitude of reason, not the least of which is narrowing the potential buyers to people who like the same unreversable mods that you do.

I have 255 85 16s Cooper St Maxx. My truck is not low profile by any means. Quicksand with a snorkel and an rtt and a 4 foot whip, sliders and I have a demello bumper coming that will really make it stand out more. Currently it has an Old man emu suspension that I ordered from Headstrong off road. I would recommend ordering from them, as I did have a good experience. The wheels I have for now are the factory trd or, and I didnt cut anything.

I did have another 3rd gen at one time with no lift and the same size tires, with no rubbing. They will work that way for you.

If you ever want to go 35s, Id suggest doing it right away if you plan on buying the coopers. Because you will get around 50k miles out of them if you take care of them, and that is a very large cost (IMO) to change out twice.

Yeah, I’m actually torn right now on either getting the 17” wheels and Maxx’s Next or getting the Diamondback HD bed cover. Hard choice since the price is close with both.

Id say get the tires, and keep your stock wheels. That's as "low profile" as you can get. The first thing people always look for is aftermarket wheels. I personally would not buy a bed cover, unless its a bed cap, only because you can get one with locking doors, and make it way more secure, and carry much much. Im actually thinking about getting rid of my rack for one, and then getting a decked system for more secure storage inside of the cap.

    Just things to think about.

Or you can just get a new air filter or blow it out with air compressor. Sounds like you want to do a lease build. Those guys that lease their car and need to be able to put it back to stock before turning it in.

Not at all. I want to be able to build it one way, then build it different down the road. My taste changes with time and new technology. Not to mention if I put a part on that required major modifications, what would I do if the company folded and the part wore out? I’m planning ahead, as well as planning for the downside if something goes wrong.

You could just buy a safari snorkel, they have been around for A LONG time. the only downside to having one installed is having a giant tube sticking out of your truck, possible rust from fender cut.

But if you change your mind after, you can just replace with fiberglass fenders and go full LT
