Hope you're bringing warm clothes and warm sleeping bag !!!! , it's been very cold here in the High Desert the last few days and especially at night !!!!

Yesterday it was only 40° and then add in the 15-20mph winds and windchill was in the low 20's , Last night it was 26°

    looks way undercooked !!

Anytime camera mod is nice when fitting into parking spaces and checking on trailers
It's a scouting event. The boys need to learn about cold.

One outing at Mahogony flat was down to 0°.

    They learned what cold was.

    Another great Andy moment.

Long bed double cab has 3 zerg fittings on the drive shaft, I had the universal joints replaced and they lost one zerg, replaced it with a screw. So I haven't been able to grease the one joint, spent countless hours looking for the right size.

As I was leaving the auto supply store (that dosent even carry one), my brain slipped into gear, momentarily.

So when it cools down, I will swap zerg fittings on the drive shaft and grease up the final joint.

    Yeah, I know.

Good chance I will end up with a GX460, the V8 option is the main reason why. Have had V6 engines in all my trucks for a long time and none of them ever got much better gas mileage than my friends with V8's and full sized trucks.

First 4x4 was a FJ55 LC around 1981. Straight 6 2F engine, had a lot of low end power. And a true granny gear.

So in a way would like my last and final vehicle to be a Land Cruiser also. But they have gotten so damn big. Would be torn to go with a LX 570 instead although the LC has a higher towing capacity. And struggle with the cost being $20K more than my first house. Can you take a mortgage out on a vehicle?! Will wait until closer to retirement to pull the trigger to minimize salt cancer on what ever I get. Then again why not pay it off before I retire and have a chance to enjoy it now....

That Land Cruiser thing is still strong with me LOL

First thing I did to my truck was color match the grille.

2 of my friends have FJ's and they both have had nothing trouble with their windshields. Even the repaired ones either leaked, chipped or in one case came out as Greg was going down the highway. The next day he traded it in on a T4R so make that one friend owns one.

    Ok new update

Turns out one of the universal joints I gave them, has a smaller diam thread opening. So that's what happened. I was going to tap it wider but I am worried about metal shavings.

    Any ideas?
