Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Wow, new 1.05 91 04B04 is by far the best tune yet. 1>2 is right on the money, I was one of those who thought initial 1.05 1>2 hang too much. No clunk downshifting, shifts are quick and precise. No struggle in 6th doing 60, even with light headwind. Going to put more miles on her in next few days.

So far, simply amazing.

Edit for truck info: 265/75/16 Wildpeak tires, otherwise stock 2017 Pro.

 

Not to force the issue, but hows the MT files coming?

I've been sending out emails practically non stop since 2pm, we are getting there. Flash manager code can't get around whatever latest update to microsoft that's blocking direct downloads

 

My wife said I was gonna leave pacing Mark's on the hardwood floor. I said if u would put a better coat of wax on them this wouldn't be an issue

 

New version did resolve the issue for me. Much better now.

 

Can you not uninstall that Windows update and make it work?

 

It isn't a good option to have everyone uninstall the win update.

 

20 mile drive! Very much impressed with shifting,its is truly buttery smooth! Holds 6th gear much much better! Did not jump into 4th at my usual spot , that is a small incline on the 5frwy N/B just passing Ortega hwy.Will be needing more miles to get a good feel for all the improvements but right now i am very happy! Thanks Mat!!!!! SO CUSTOM TUNES TOMORROW RIGHT?

 

Just a FYI/reminder for those of us that were on 04B03 ECU for the 1.04 tune and earlier, if you updated your ECU with the latest Toyota TSB, your ECU is now 04B04. Just double check your ECU version before flashing.

well life is normal. Mid alphabet and last. Mid June Dongle-less purchase on 1.04 - waiting. No bitching. Bummed. Guess I will make my 1.05 wait feel less painful by paying bills. Figured early dongle-less purchasers would be first out the gate. Figured wrong. Mat may be up into the wee hours of tomorrow on this quest. F'n Microsoft updates! All you who have 1.05 already stop posting! Making the rest of us crazy!
